Well the heat lamp seems to be helping. I'm not going to risk it today, I'll let it sit overnight. I used Permatex Ultra Black, which I've never had a problem with before. I really don't know how it didn't set over a week. Not enough time to pull it back out and re-do this weekend, just going to hope it sets up by tomorrow.
hey i found a red 89 turbo today. body is pretty beat up. interior is kinda crap but i have the parts to fix it. sounds like it ran good. i might try to pick it up. but i alreay have 2 other supra to work on. do you think 3 supra would be pushing it? also they put a cheap head gasket on it. or should i just stick my time in my black 88. am just look for some impoins. some young kid owns it and it is completly stock. thanks jason

3 won't be bad, until you get projects going on with all 3 of them. Try to have a little direction before you bring it home, and get all your swapping around as soon as it gets there. I currently have 4 (and a 240sx w/2 motors), but soon to be down to just the 2 I want to keep. My grey shell should be leaving here Monday, and I'm gonna finish my parts car off soon and get it out of here too. They seem to be taking over my house. There are motors tranny's and just parts everywhere. I'm bringing Pat some parts when i come up. If there is anything you need, I 'll bring it if I have it.

Well took the supra for its maiden voyage and it did well. I really missed driving it. It may still develop rodknock, but for now there's no "woodpecker in the engine." If all goes well I'll probably write a
"redneck rodknock fix" how-to.
The front of the pan still leaks oil, but every supra oil pan I've seen has too. I'll just try and switch to some heavier synthetic and see if that lessens the leak. I keep good pressure and it only leaks from one spot so I think I'll be fine.
Driving the car back to Alaslamma in a few hours, wish me luck!

EDIT: I forgot to mention one of my roomates is a photographer type. If he's around this weekend I may be able to talk him into taking some cool shots for us.

We're going to meet at WalkerDynoTune in trussville. There is a Hooters within a block and we will probably eat lunch there or anywhere else. Let's just show up and see what everyone wants to do. I'll get there at around nine in the morning and try to dyno early since mine may take a while. Ryan, Vixen and I will be there if anyone wants to arrive earlier than 11:00.........lol

Looks like Champion Toyota pulled through, again. What looked like a package arriving on Saturday, is now arriving on Thursday. Sweetness. I "could" make it afterall.

Everyone, please try and make it!!
It's real easy to come up with excuses not to make it, but we want everyone there to have a great time. You can bring a friend or friends, and they don't have to own a supra. Let's just make it a good showing with no flaming or making fun of anyone's ride. I would love to make this an annual thing and maybe get it better organized and have it at a track next year. We'll see how this one goes. Everyone please bring their cameras so we can post up alot of pictures and videos.............lol
