How to remove tint.
p1542075_1.jpg

first start picking at it until a corner lets lose and start pulling.
p1542075_2.jpg

Once off throw it on the ground at walk on it. The window will still be sticky from the adhesive
p1542075_3.jpg

Hose down the window once tint is removed with windex to make the next step easier.
p1542075_4.jpg

Get out a NEW sharp razor blade and start scrapping the window to remove the adhesive. A 15-20 degree angle works good.
p1542075_5.jpg

Once done do it again to insure that all adhesive is removed, and clean window.
p1542075_6.jpg

This will help keep the cops happy. (The rear tint stays ;) )

EDIT::

I just took a look at the CPS and CPS area to make sure the slight oil leak was fixed with the new o ring. And YEP it seems to be holding back the oil. Then I looked under the car and I didn't notice any new oil leaking, Ummm........ Before there would always be a drop ready to "drip" from the sway bar. Now there is nothing!!! Maybe the CPS was leaking more oil then I thought and was getting all over everything including the oil pan on both sides.

If so this would be nice if it was the source of my oil leak!!!! Next step is to bring the car over to my buddies house and put her on the host to give the oil pan and under body a really good wash / cleaning. Then check the under side again in a couple hundred miles to see if it stayed clean.

It is hard to get a pic of what Im seeing but before the area on the water neck and manifold had oil/build up on it and now it is still clean as new.

Probably a smart move with the tint - are you getting 50% put on sometime later? Also awesome that an oil leak has been fixed.

You might be able to get a reduced ticket too if you can show them that the tint has been removed...? (I base that only on conjecture, not any sort of legal knowledge)

Oh, Rob I'm so envious. The internal seal is leaking on mine so I have it all apart for rebuilding, just waiting for the parts now...

I might be able to get the ticket some how reduce, but with 6 tint tickets on my record The judge would probably just lol at me a kick me out of his court room unless I pd a lawyer to help me out. Yep 50% will go back on one of these days.

rob, is that a off the shelf o-ring or is that a toyota part? i need to do mine as well

I just used a normal high temp o ring. From my last job I grabbed a few of every size and put them in a bag for "maybe some day I will need one" and that was the day, lol.

Mine is also leaking internal. But after 3K miles there was maybe 4 drops inside of it, so Im not super worried about that now. I still need to get the gasket for the cps cover.

You can use off the shelf O rings. I have

Yep that is what I did. EZ fix, plus I even had the parts laying in the tool box!

+1

My CPS has an off the shelf o-ring, doesn't leak a drop.

Very nice. Im crossing my fingers this was the source of my leak.

Rob, your car looked good last night. Sure sounds like you have a boost leak. Nice to see as many cars turn out that did.

I might have a boost leak, testing will come soon to look for a leak. Time to search for the how to make "boost leak tester" . It is hard to type out how the boost acts. But you heard the story last night, so it could be a leak, just more testing needs to be done, like taking the EBC out of the system and see what happens. Plus a tune would really help, just so my A/R under boost could come above 10!!! She just runs pig rich under boost. Toyota safety in place on the TCCS right now.

Yes the turn out was pretty good.

In the Minnesota meet thread there seemed to be 2-3 people already interested in making one - how about a Minnesota boost leak meet! :biglaugh:

IIRC it is just a PVC end cap with a filler valve in the end. Pretty much just need a way to pressurize the system. Add some smoke to the system and see where it comes out.

Lest see, yesterday / last night I spent giving the caddy some TLC to get her all shinny again. I clay bared the entire car along with 2 coats of the new Meguiar's gold class paste wax. Still debating if I what to put some more on yet. No pics since a picture really don't do justice.

Well the 3" test pipe came in the mail today for the Sup. Im hoping with both ends being swivel & smooth, I can adjust it to make the exhaust tips straight and no longer have a exhaust leak where the cat back and cat meet. The flange on the cat is a little pitted so it don't seal to tight on the bottom. One nice thing I now will have a true 3" from turbo back :)

Test pipe in and my cat being lazy. He didn't want to come out to the garage, rather look threw the open door and watch from up top.

It is just a smug louder but not much, fit was great, and the best part I adjusted it so the tip are now level.

Pic is a little I took it when the car was still jacked up on one side.

p1543270_3.jpg

EDIT: Forgot to add, I also by passed the EBC, so now it is just the waste gate hooked directly (threw 16" of vac line, lol) to the charge pipe. I think im going to go out tonight for a drive so I find out if anything changes and report back.

Here is a quick start up vid, for testing reasons. Let see if you can hear the "loop" on my idle with these cams and see how the HKS sounds on idle up close and personal. Let me ya, or na for more vids this way.

Well just came back, and I have no idea why the hell this turbo wont spool. Even with no boost controller, just straight vac line, it dose / acts the same way. Almost like there is a 2.00+ A/R on the back side of this!

The only thing I can think of that my quick thrown together afm adapter to the 4" inlet to the turbo is so restrictive it cant suck enough air threw it. I have no idea, Junk!
