Thought I would share a pic of my oil pressure now with the new pump (7mm shim) and upgraded oiling system I took with my phone.

In this pic I was at 2950-3000 RPM's, 5th gear, with oil temp at 190-195 ish.

I think it should do the job :)

O-ya I also found my downpipe and test pipe dose NOT LIKE speed bumps  SCRAPE any one!!! I have some, plus a little tar on the flanges.

Pressure is about 10-15 psi (guessing) going by the stock gauge. It is well off the bottom but a little under the 20 mark. But my idle speed is around 1000 RPM's some times a little more, to help these cams have some what of a manageable idle.

Ya I would say out in Cali, Maintenance could average that, but it is just because the cost of living is so high. For instance Im guessing a new average house in average area is 300-350K+. Here there 150-175K. Trust me If I didn't buy/build my house at a young age I would have been long gone from this are. Around here as Jeremy said the average to high average is 50-55K. Low side is 35-40K witch Im now in once again, for now until more jobs open up :cry::cry: Trust me, I have put plenty of thought into moving out of this area in the last year.

5 years ago, I came out of college with no experience, I made more back then, then I do now!!!! Cheap fuckers taking advantage of the shity economy.

EDIT: I just did a quick search for Maint careers in your area, and wow, there are quite a few out there!! Umm........ Need a roommate ?

+1 million

LOL........ The Pharmaceutical industries here can make your wife very HAPPY. Although, I think my gardener lives in my house now since I'm at work all the time..lol.

IJ, you used sequential injection and got rid of the waste fire spark system to get it to idle like that?

Waste fire spark won't have an effect, Sequential injection and opening the lobe centres plays a huge part in idle quality as I was using 1000cc RC injectors.

What weight oil are you using?

Dam that is pretty good. But MoTeC better be able to do that ;)

Me Im still on the OEM TCCS till I have spare cash around to buy an engine management system.

Oil = Redline 5W-30

If time comes It sounds like I will be using 880's from Wayne

EDIT: On second thought, I should just sell this turbo and these cams and with that $$$$, buy oem cams, 550's, lex, 255 pump and 57 trim ct26. And call the slow pra (the supra's new name) done and start on a new project.

Project kick ass

By the time Im finished with the supra it will be cheaper and a more driver friendly car with luxury. Especially since I have driven both cars this past week the same distance.

Either twin turbo it

I just Dont like the way the turbo piping looks under the hood and the extra parts needed for the install.

Or A maggy

The tune on them are WAY cheaper, plug n play, and good #'s at the wheels. Plus since there several guys out there with it already and one guy that revolutionized the maggy about 30 min away from me.

The STS turbo kit is fairly new (1-2 years ago) and cost about $1500 more. It has been making me think for quite some time now.

I sold all my Supras and i bought a V last August and I could not be happier. Car is a blast to drive and has so much potential with just boltons. That STS kit is what I was looking at but for 7k...its a bit too much . But definitely a nice kit. :)

new to the supra scene...where you picked up the sunshade or visor from and how much??

There was a group buy that Kevin had some time ago. IIRC it was $200? He might have another one again some day just keep an eye at the group buy section.

I didn't know we had another V owner here, Sweet!! What year and color. You know black on black is the fastest :p

Ya 7k is a little steep, but it is a 100% bolt on kit with them re flashing your ecu. I like the turbo Idea because just a turn of a knob for more power with meth injection. But running oil lines to the rear and then pumping the oil back to the motor sounds like it might give some one problems.

One nice thing if you have plenty of time to surf the forums you can find a used Maggie for 3-4K.

i was joking saying you should go back to bone stock.... my car for yours.

on the remote turbo... a lot of people that run them on the trucks actually run a completely separate oiling system with a remote cooler and pump/reservoir. the turbo doesnt build as much heat back there as it starts out much cooler.

^^^ ;)

Im not sure what STS uses for the oiling system.

Yesterday I did a little more testing. Hooked back up the EBC and turned it up to max (2.0 bar higher boost) Well Boost built quicker, and had 10 lbs by 3300 or so and then fuel cut. <--- I figured it would hit it. So after I think I know what is going on.

See if I can type this out what Im thinking/found out with the recent testing.

The turbo is spooling just fine and the WG is working correctly,......... sort of. The WG feels like it is opening at 4-5 lbs, then once open the rest of the boost that builds is boost creep from the higher rpm's. Im thinking the internal WG is just to small for this size turbo witch gives me the additional boost that builds slow (due to creep). So all in all everything is fine I just need to get the fuel system and computer up to par to further the project and control the power.

Dose that make since what Im thinking? Hopefully it came out in text the way Im thinking.

I like the blacked out rims. I was also thinking of a gun metal color for mine since these brakes makes so much brake dust.

Just putting these part #'s in my thread so I can find them once I have time to place a order. Anyone reading this do you know the part #'s for the rubber bump stops for the hood? I need the part # for the ones on the side that attach to the fender, and the 2 up front next to the head lights.

Also I need the part #' for the cps cover and gasket, Im to lazy right now to search for them and i know some one has them right next to them. Im thinking monday afternoon calling Royal Moore Toyota to place my order (same place I bought my front lip from).

Last I need the Part #'s for the spark plug wire holders that are made of plastic the attach to the 3rd cover (between the cam covers) to hold my wires in the right place or another idea, if you have one, to clean the wires up a little.
Thx!
