Yeah, the header clearance is going to be really tight on the driver side, but still not an issue (well not a major issue anyways). For just a straight general swap, the stock SC400 Manifolds clear fine.

There are numbers of different tranny options that you can go with. Me personally, to start with it will be bolted up to a W58. Once everything is in and running and I come up with a few more dollar bills (ok, a lot more) I will be swapping in a T56 6speed. Like foreverpsycotic stated, even with the 3.73 gear, its still way to short. When I do end up putting the T56 in, I will also be going back up to either the stock N/A 4.30 w/ a torsen LSD or might end up doing what Ian (IJ) did with making a custom Ford 9" independent chunk and use like a 4.56 gear or something. I might even stay with the stock 3.73. This is not going to be a drag car or anything.

true ij, question tho... would a custom clutch be needed, or can we run a standard clutch (one made for our transmission)? i found a place that sells the flywheel and bellhousing adaptor seperately

there are a number of ways that you can do it. As far as I know, the complete bellhousing setups still have to have to clutch converted to a push style clutch. I can get you an adapter plate for about 250 that allows you to run the R154 up to a auto bellhousing, but the input shaft has to be modded to work

See I've heard the oppsite about castlemane. Either way, it doesn't really matter to me cause with the exception of the flywheel, mine is taken care of.

Oh BTW, that monsterperformance, where are they at?

lol, well, i come bearing news.

the MKIII flywheel has been redrilled before to the 1uz bolt pattern. meaning....your flyweel problem has been fixed (mine as well). oh, and with this setup you use all the stuff made for your transmission, clutch and pp.

oh, and i had someone offer to build me some turbo manifolds for the 1uz, they said they had them mocked up already. let me know and ill pass on the info.

Yeah, I know about drilling the 7M flywheel, but I dont much like the idea of it.

As for the turbo manifolds, were they mocked up to fit the MKIII chassis? Cause the MKIII chassis is so damn tight compaired to say the SC400 or a MKIV chassis. And if you are talking about the guy on lextreme that goes by the name, JDMfanticy, I wouldn't use his cause they are asking for trouble unless they start building out of 321 or 347 stainless.
