well i got it to idle...but throttle response sucks. tap the gas and it drops engine speed then revs up. OH and the turbo was REALLY HOT after idling and that seemed strange to me, so i cracked the feed line loose, no oil so i backed it off even more till it was off, NO OIL GOING TO TURBO!?!?!?! ugh....

I'm sure you hooked the line up to the correct oiling port, perhaps a blockage in the line? Are you seeing any oil pressure inside the engine at all?

for some reason the oil pressure stays low as in between 40psi and the tick mark below it when at idle or up to 3k rpm, i dont remember it being like this. but i havent drove it in quite some time.

and im done fighting my oil leak with the tee off the oil pressure sensor for turbo feed. decided to clean off the oil where it leaks at the fitting ad jb weld it. ive tried new fittings and pipe thread tape and pipe dope but the brass bspt will not seal to the steel line off the block. so i whipped up some jb weld and painted the seam of the threads.

oh and i ordered some fiber glass heat wrap and blanket for turbo to contain the heat in engine bay, since it melted my speedo cable :( wonder if there is any damage on the inside of the firewall cuz i had noticed light smoke in the passenger side after i drove it into town, didnt know if hvac fan had pulled it into the car from the vent by windshield or if it was in car

I had it happen once where my dp-cat flange was blown out, and forcing exhaust up towards the floorboard.
It melted through the undercoating, and then melted my passenger side carpet.
:(

i still havent gotten it back on. i fought it for an hour easy

The hx35 snap ring? Just start one end of it, then while holding that end with a screw driver, gently push the rest of the ring into the groove. Work your way around the housing slowly as well.

Yup. That's the only way.

The stock radiator could be upgraded imo if your looking for more power. It's fine cruising around town but gets a little hot if I'm boosting a lot or going up hills.

I'm running a similar setup too, hx35 62mm on my 7mgte

if the shroud doesnt fit, how about a couple electric flex a lite fans?
i think i read somewhere they cool very well, especially in a lot of stop and go slow traffic
