my engine light comes on when i start the car but turns off once i'm at 180-190 degrees. checked the codes i have a 21 which is oxy sensor. i'm gonna replace it but why does it only come on when cold?

no codes when it does it. i'll check the accordion hose next time i have a chance i'm in the middle of moving. i do remember it having a small crack, maybe it got bigger. i'm hoping thats all it is.

timing is also good

can't find any leaks. once its at full boost its steady and does not drop. its popping a little on idle now. changed out the afm, same problems.

once the turbo starts to spool a little (10 inhg vacuum) the car hicups a little. i've checked for boost leaks but have found nothing. vacuum at idle is good at 20 in hg. what else could be doing this?

just replaced my front wheel sensor, now i'm getting a code for the rear wheel speed sensor. stupid supra :icon_evil . anyways, where is this thing is it on the tranny or on the back wheels like the front ones?

no work to the block, just made sure it was flat before putting the head on. the head was resurfaced. other than that no work to either.

i was under the impression that a cracked block wouldn't, but i've never had a problem like this. can anyone confirm that a cracked block would show up on the compression check? i'm very curious to know whats going on too but my wallet isn't, seeing how empty it is :3d_frown:

johnathan, they were arp headbolts torqued to 80

checked out the difference, i couldn't find my gauge but looks to be a bit less than a 10th of a milimeter i dunno if thats enough to do anything especially with a composite gasket. i'm almost sure its a crack in the block now, i mean the gasket rings were ok the compression check came out good...

then why the milkshake? you should have seen this thing smoke, trust me this wasn't just stuff burning off

i didn't pressure test the coolant, i couldn't think of anywhere else it could be leaking other than the hg or a cracked block. the throttle body and isc coolant lines were bypassed. i took the turbo off a car that was running fine so i dont think thats the problem either. the head was pressure...

wow i need a new hobbie, just pulled the head in a little over two hours :aigo: definitly a bhg, heres the pics. gasket was an ebay gasket i'd stick away from them after seeing how this one fell apart. here are the pics. as you can see, some of the gasket stuck to the head. the rough areas...

i've never heard a 7m run so well this is really wierd anyways it wasn't leaking out the pan it seems to be coming out the block plug

yeah i flushed it a couple times. i almost have the head off should know whats up in about 20 minutes

just got the valve covers off

yeah it was new. i'm pulling the head right now hopefully i'll know whats up by the end of the night.

no waterfall noise. not sure what they did to test it i just asked them to make sure to pressure test it and make sure it wasn't warped and they came back and said it was good
