car bucks when turbo spools

once the turbo starts to spool a little (10 inhg vacuum) the car hicups a little. i've checked for boost leaks but have found nothing. vacuum at idle is good at 20 in hg. what else could be doing this?

Are you getting any codes?

timing, boost leak, fuel pump could be a number of things

build a boost leak tester and start there

also check the codes that would help diagnose the problem better

drive the car shift in to 3rd around 2500 rpm then floor it check boost gauge
see if it holds. IF it drops you have a boost leak. if it doesn't your running
too rich. do you have any mods?

not fuel cut though, it starts before i even start boosting. i remember bottoming out preety hard a few days ago, i'm gonna check the i/c for damage but even then wouldn't my vacuum be off?

sounds to me like a boost leak. Pressure test the ic system

can't find any leaks. once its at full boost its steady and does not drop. its popping a little on idle now. changed out the afm, same problems.

Check the intake boot to the turbo for cracks or leaks.

does it throw a CEL when it does it? really sounds like a boost leak to me to. they can be a real pain in the ass to find sometimes.

no codes when it does it. i'll check the accordion hose next time i have a chance i'm in the middle of moving. i do remember it having a small crack, maybe it got bigger. i'm hoping thats all it is.

Make sure you check the 3000 Pipe > TB coupler. Alot of people like to over look that one. I know I have.

if it was turbo seals you would see blue smoke while driving/boosting
