There is a pretty good possibility that I'll make it down on Friday or Saturday night. Would be good to know the actual dates though, I'm too lazy to look them up haha
LOL wat? 65 degrees is ok? If you're talking about what the CC goes to...then of couse it's ok. If you're talking about the temp coming out of the vents then clearly something isn't working properly IMO.
That's why I added my example: I did a VERY quick and VERY dirty conversion, been...
LMAO! I second that, you wouldn't be worthy of owning an MKIII if you didn't low ball him.
I don't know much about the 1J so I couldn't help you much there. Maybe ask about what/if anything was done to the fuel system. I see there is a AFPR so I would assume the pump is at least upgraded.
+1
Where is the play coming from? Up/down, left/right or all over? If the nut was loose I would think it would move in and out only. If the bearing was loose enough to show play you would definitely hear some noise.
I'm not going to argue much because I'm not an expert, just my $.02. When MY FP was going out I had the exact issue he's having. I could drive, idle, whatever. At low boost it would act like fuel cut. Just speaking from my experience, not any form of professionalism.
Both are sharp looking cars IMO. Seems like you would be able to sell the TransAm for more though and give him cash for the Supra (obviously that's in a perfect world where you could instantly sell your car whenever you wanted) then spend the extra $ on the Supra :). Drive it, see what you think.
If you consider your time worth any amount of $ just buying JDM or euro mirrors is the best way to go. If you're trying to kill time/want a project then it shouldn't matter what car they come off of, you could make it work.
Holy crap something isn't right there!
I wouldn't mix it personally but someone with more knowledge might be able to help. My system was empty because it was pulled off another car. I just did the cheap Walmart kit for 134a and it's working pretty damn good. My guess is that it would be...
I just did the conversion without changing/flushing anything and it's blowing 42-43 consistantly. Who knows how long it will last but it's doing fine for now. It does take a bit longer to get cold than R12 if I remember back to when it had R12...
100% guarantee that was the problem.
The car had RK and was sitting. I NEEDED it done in two days. So I just rebuilt the bottom end. I'm confident I got the internals right so if a slightly drippy oil pan is my biggest problem, then I'll be happy.
Oil pan? I read that not using a gasket worked. I used a gasket on mine when did a quickie bottom end rebuild and it's leaking. I was pretty sure I prepped it right, maybe it was just warped somehow that I missed?
^^^ I'm with you there man! I LOVE being able to see so much more with my driver's side mirror. Nearly eliminates any blind spots. I don't really care that shit is slightly smaller, if I'm worried I'm that close I'll hang my head out the window.
I'm getting my passenger side mirror done by...
Cool thanks man. The link worked but the vid wouldn't load for me (but I'm at work/behind a stupid firewall) but I'll watch it when I get home, can't wait!
oh snap, my last post must have been like .0001 seconds after yours. Those fender vents are sexy as well. They look very professional/like they were meant to be there.
