im getting boost cut at only 3lbs, its been running at 8-10 pounds great and all of a sudden that started happening, also when it cuts out and i let go of the gas my rpms idle down to only about 400 or 500 and jump back up to a steady 1000, all i have on my car is an electronic boost controller and a couple hardpipes, i went through all my lines and hoses and there all good, i also readjusted my boost controller settings to exactly how i had them before, and its still doing the same thing, anyone?

thanks for all the info, ive tried and checked all of it besides the ic pipe connecting to the turbo, ill have to dig down in there sometime, but it dont feel like its leaking, its a very on point cut right at 3lbs, fuel cut? could it be the fuel pump going bad and i just cant get enough fuel compared to the boost level?

you need to physically check that pipe. take off your accordion hose and loosen it's clamp and see if you can pull it off the turbo so you can see it.
original profec b is a good controller btw.

No. FP has zero effect.

There is a 99% chance that you have a boost leak somewhere, the places mentioned before are the best spots to check.

I'm not going to argue much because I'm not an expert, just my $.02. When MY FP was going out I had the exact issue he's having. I could drive, idle, whatever. At low boost it would act like fuel cut. Just speaking from my experience, not any form of professionalism.

If you run out of fuel due to a failing pump, clogged filter, twisted lines, whatever, you'd get almost the same sensation - without the Check Engine Light that the ECU displays when it thinks you are overboosting.
