i would keep the trans am. that supra isn't up to par with your trans am. if it had better paint and interior it would be different.

and about the single only doing 13's. thats funny.

Both are sharp looking cars IMO. Seems like you would be able to sell the TransAm for more though and give him cash for the Supra (obviously that's in a perfect world where you could instantly sell your car whenever you wanted) then spend the extra $ on the Supra :). Drive it, see what you think.

dude if thats really your car keep it.
the supra is not going to be much faster then 13's until you spend some serious money on it.

Really? Aglobalthreat almost got out of the 13s on a set of stock turbos on a 1jz. There is no reason you should be in the 13s with a car over 400whp, unless you don't go to a track often. I say do it, but have it checked out by someone who knows supras.

Kwnate ran a 13.0 on stock twins and street tires with his 1jz. This car should definately be a low to mid 12 second car easily. Ont he highway this car would embarass your transam. I haven't looked at the pictures of it yet, but it sounds like a pretty car. As bad as I hate to say it, you'll probably have less problems out of your TA than the supra though. It's hard to own a supra and not try to upgrade something once a month. If you trade him and keep everything just like it is, it may last forever, but the gravitational pull of the upgradeious maximous if strong. Good luck.

Damned straight. I run mid 13's on 275RWHP in my 7M. If you're putting down 400 horsepower and can't get deep into the 12's you need to stop racing.

I can garuntee that after my build is done, and I go to the track, I will cut no better than a 13.5. But that will be the first time I go to a track (target goal is 400whp on pump, with 4.30 gears, so I will be sliding alot on 245/45/16s, even with some trackbite).

ask if it ever had a BHG....oooh wait this is a 1j..lol

Find out how many miles on the motor. when it was installed and who or what shop installed it.

since you might be a new owner of a mk III, lowball him like crazy. ask for $1500...jk..

LMAO! I second that, you wouldn't be worthy of owning an MKIII if you didn't low ball him.

I don't know much about the 1J so I couldn't help you much there. Maybe ask about what/if anything was done to the fuel system. I see there is a AFPR so I would assume the pump is at least upgraded.
