In the article they advanced the intake 4 degrees and got peak torque 200 rpms earlier, they tried advancing 7 degrees and heard some rod knock so they backed it off. I was hoping someone had some numbers for the 7MGTE's.

The math comes out to be: Stock: 16 X 7 with 38mm = 215.8mm = 8.49 inches /2 = 4.245 inches New: 18 X 8.5 with 30mm = 245.9mm = 9.68 inches /2 = 4. 84 inches so its really only .595 inches bigger on each side, yeah I think they will be just about perfect also. thanks had to put...

Trying to find out if these will fit my 88': 18X9.5-114.3 38mm for the rear and 18X8.5-114.3 30mm for the front? Is there any kind of spacer that would make it fit. Pretty sure the rear is perfect, not sure on the front.

Iam in the middle of a rebuild and have no desire to put 18 yr old fitted hoses back on the engine. I have a hose tech silicon vacuum line kit but what about the fitted/molded hoses like around the throttle body etc.

Name is Jay, and Iam in chesapeake for the next couple of months. doing a n/a to turbo conversion right now, should get the parts back from the machine shop next week and the re-assembly starts. if you want to turn a wrench with me give me a hollar. i have all new parts going back onto this motor.
