Timing marks good, but wrong stroke?

Took apart all the hoses and pipes, got to the valve covers to check cps and cam timing. CPS was off, and went to check the cams and have a question. What position should the cams be in? Iirc, crank at tdc should be the power stroke? I followed the tsrm where it says to turn crank and watch for...

changed aternator, dead battery after sitting!

The car in question is an N/A but it involves my 87 turbo, if it needs to be moved, then feel free to do so. So yesterday, I was driving my 88 N/A and the battery light came on WITH tthe brake light, and the voltage dropped from the usual 14v to a tiny bit less than 12v. i just took the...

Timing marks good, but wrong stroke?

What should the cams look like then? IIRC, the TSRM states that the turbo models are set at 10 degrees BTDC. If so, then cylinder #1 (towards the front) should have both intake and exhaust valves closed, correct? Is there a picture of how they should look?

So I noticed this today, that when I shut off the car and remove the key, my brake light is still on, and the ac lights are still on. The power windows also still work. radio shuts off though. Wire short or bare wire touching? Maybe just an ignition switch fault?

Plenty of supras, not enough time...

Perfect, i was wondering how to check the timing for the cps. The cam and crank timing I'm not new to, but cps is. how does one check for the fuel pump on these cars? On my other cars, I usually turn the key to on and check if it primes, and check the fuel lines for pressure. It's my...

Plenty of supras, not enough time...

So in October, I bought an 88 NA supra, and man! It's so ridiculously fun to drive! And within a month, I've managed to collect 3 more supras. First was an 90 turbo targa top for free, but the enging was torn apart and missing tons of pieces. Then an 86.5 NA automatic for parts, and...
