electronics still on after removing the key?

So I noticed this today, that when I shut off the car and remove the key, my brake light is still on, and the ac lights are still on. The power windows also still work. radio shuts off though.

Wire short or bare wire touching? Maybe just an ignition switch fault?

We had volkswagen passat come to our shop with the same problem all lights in the dash stayed on, even with the key out of the ign.. switch. came to find out the wires inside the dash had melted togather, and was still powering the guages even with the key on the off position.. check for stripped wires..

really odd, just went out to do some errands, can't duplicate what happened earlier today.

I'll pulling the dash anyways to make a fiberglass cap, so might as well give it a check.
