ok so reading the turbine maps is about the same as the compressor is that right? do i just guess what the pressure is in my manifold?? would i have to hook up a back pressure tester to see the pressure?
I know how to read compressor maps but turbine maps are something i have never really...
I did give up, sort of. he is a stubborn **** when it comes to this. he does a lot of supercharging and from the link given before, i can sort of see where his thought comes from. I try to explain how turbos are a little more complicated then supercharges but he just won't believe...
Masssupra89:
just think of the motor as a perfect motor. everything is 100% efficient nothing is wrong. practically an ideal world. no other variables change other than the turbo (which means turbo flow changes).

most of the explanations here is what I told a friend of mine...
ok guys,
I got a question, don't change anything to your car only the turbo. first turbo is a GT35R and the other is a GT42R. you set boost to 25 psi. which will make more power and why.
I don't know where you live and what emissions you have. For me, my idle passed and my 15 and 25 mph checked passed. with the safc, you should be able to tune it out. I would recommend a FPR to make tuning easier.
when I had an safc and 750cc injectors, my idle was fine and i had to tune...
Here is some info:
Rod RHC: 48 = about 238 KSI
Bolt RHC: 35 = about 156 KSI
You may lookup 4340 steel at www.matweb.com for a reference number. Remember there are many different kinds of 4340.
Just so you know, this would be for a static rod. Remember, the motor is dynamic. I was going to...
I believe it's a 14?? just get a bolt that fits and it should work. if anything you can go to autozone and they should have the correct tool.
um...the tapped hole one goes...towards the firewall? don't quote me on that though.
jetjock, i know that i have to be careful of what people say and what i take as good info.
I am not going to play with my timing. i do not have adjustable cam gears so i can not reduce over lap. the only thing i have is to tune it and lean it out a little. others here locally (who know...
First test. i'll be doing a retest here in a few days.

Hi flow cat, 750...
anyone want to know the tensile strength and compressive strength and possibly rockwell hardness test number of the 7mgte stock rods and rod bolts??
if you guys would like that, I can get a test done and post them on here.

resurrecting from the dead.
anyways, thought people would like to know. finally had time over spring break to get things running.
Got the car to start, run, and idle every time. So, these are a few things that i have done to the car. 255 walbro, 750 injectors, fuel pressure regulator, built...
before the cam swap, my main scale was -20 with 750s. with the cams in it is doubled. i noticed the afrs where lean when i'm about to hit boost. i haven't started boosting yet, just cruising around off boost. the only way i feel safe messing with my idle is to drive around and then take it...
