    Favorite Gear ratio?

I run a 4.10 on my 1.5JZ, and it's too short. All it does is roast tires. I also want a taller rear-end so I can cruise at something that isn't 3500+rpm. A thing to note about larger turbos, a taller gearing is going to put more load on the motor at full throttle, which is going to spool the...

    Custom A-pillar speaker pods?

Anyone on here have some custom speaker enclosures built into your a-pillars? I've been toying with the idea of throwing a 7" sub in the doors, and mounting a 4" midrange, and tweeter in the pillars, and wanted to see some pictures.

    91 Factory Amp Integration Harness

really? weird. All amp'd Toytas I've seen from this era still had standard plugs running to the amp (which was a PITA if you didn't know that, and plugged an amplified HU into it) Hmm, I guess you could fab something up?

    91 Factory Amp Integration Harness

Toyota standardized the radio harness on all of their vehicles around 87. If you find a harness for a 92+, it'll work on a 91.

    GETRAG tranny

I don't think they make 4runner rears that tall. most of the time, they make them SHORTER, for bigger tires. That's interesting that there is a 3.2 MKIII rear-end though. I still think that a 3.54 ring and pinion for $200 from jawsgear is the best option. It's close enough to work pretty decent.

    1JZ > 2JZ harness ECU interchange

you know all you had to do was click the little check box above the submit to submit to the thread right? The harnesses are close enough to work, and if you have some way to tune it, it will work perfectly fine for your application. From what I remember from my conversion, the oil pressure...

    2jz block?

I just used a 1JZ headgasket. The 2JZ oil feed is a little offset from where the 1JZ one is, but the 1JZ head gasket has a large opening in it for the oil feed that sort of matches them up. It works fine, if I ever start shooting oil out the gasket, I'll tell you. you'll also need a 2JZ water...

    Let me see your trunks!

Bump! I want some updates on this. Did you ever get the trunk finished? How much depth do you have in that box, and how high does it stick up past the floor?

    2jz block?

The 1JZ, and 2JZ oil feeds for the head are slightly different. You can get away with it if you use a 1JZ head gasket. The oil feed won't be optimal, but it will work. There's a big discussion with lots of pictures regarding this over on toymods. as for boost but, you will need a FCD. It's not...

    GETRAG tranny

Well, if you have a 233 (V160), you should notice that the bellhousing is actually part of the transmission, and not replaceable. Fortunately the bolt pattern will bolt right up to a 1JZ no problem :) Talk to Jawsgear about getting a 3.54 ring and pinion for your rear-end so you can...

    ARG. Stupid cars!

Today we totally washed out the interior, and exterior, as well as installed a new wiper motor, wiper arms, and windshield trim. And he actually helped me with it all. He's getting better. I kept telling him do this, or do that, and he went on his way, and figured it out himself. And...
