I coat my posts and the base of the posts with Vaseline whenever I do the terminals. It works quite well. There is an electronic coating that you can use.. but its basically Vaseline anyway.. lol.

I was gonna say that while you had the dash out to look at the heater core. Just had mine replaced and it is a bitch to get to (last thing to reach while disassembling the entire dash area). Its not that difficult to do with the dash already out.. lol. (Shops book it at 9 hours labor)
