Funny... we live in the same city and I don't recognize your name/handle.. lol.
I have mirrors and an 88 front bumper in my garage (grey metallic). My car is also an 88 and I have various parts sitting around (as well as an 87 in the garage awaiting the engine). Are you a member of the Alberta...
Agreed with Grimjack on all points.
Should have mentioned its a waterless turbo (dual ball bearing) and I have to fab the oil lines as well. Not quite a bolt on.
I will eventually run t4, just not yet.
I'm not savvy enough about turbos to comment on a rebuild unfortunately. In the end a ct26...
I wanted 2j.. but ended up with 7M... and Im happy.
7MGTE is native to my car (which is nice), doesn't look as "awesome" as the 2j, doesn't have a FFIM (which I would love.. but ignoring that for now)...
On a positive side.. when you dyno 300 rwhp and have 380 torque.. you understand why...
Just wondering if anyone has any fore knowledge or opinion on the Precision SP6262 Turbo.
Im about to purchase it as a direct bolt-on replacement for my CT26 60-1 (cant go T4 for another 2-3 years due to other upgrades planned). Everything looks good on it, but finding other people who have...
I'm just about to purchase an SP 6262, you may want to see what happens there (from sound performance).
It's supposed to be a bolt on replacement for the ct26. Starting a thread after I respond to yours just to get input prior to ordering. This or the Boss Sr. Turbo were the only upgrades I...
There is no "readable" AR for this one because its a bolt-on replacement for a CT26. The housings are custom made specifically for that purpose so I can use my stock exhaust manifold and downpipe.
Supposedly the 6262 are the measurements. (compressor inlet/inducer = 62 mm and turbine exducer= 62...
Decided today I'm gonna order the Precision 6262 turbo from Sound Performance. Hope it lives up to my expectations.
Won't be water cooled... Wondering if that will effect longevity...
Today I taught my son how to drive stick in my car.
He kept saying... "Why do you have standard when auto is so much easier"
After he got the hang of it a bit, I showed him how much better you can control a standard... Lol.
Ended the drive by showing him a two gear boosted burnout.
Love my car
I didn't use those two pipes... had to cut my fender wall and couldn't cut it enough..
Looks like the bracked on the side of the 3000 pipe replacement is off by an inch or so like mine was as well.. so the vacuum hardline wont bolt up properly. I had a HKS 3000 pipe (which is actually bigger...
Idk, after seeing some of the engines you guys are dropping into these cars and how damn sexy they look, I am thinking of building one for the living room...
I noticed that the boss sr. And Sp6262's are almost same pricing now...
Still haven't decided which one to order. Gonna follow this...
Holy crap... Nice pieces!
Did I send you the step by step for that intercooler?
(Mine had no instructions or even suggestions for a proper install)
Lay the 3000 pipe replacement in place and let me know how it fits
Kind of my point. Volk wheels (rays and Works as well) are intended for racing. If I was running quarter miles with 500-1000 rwhp I would go with them because I think they are suited to the task.
For a daily summer driver intended for "Show and Shines" and meets, there are a lot more aesthetic...
Got a wheel brand question. I'm not bright when it comes to my car so I was planning on a new set of Volk or Rays for the car and I think they run at about 1000.00 per wheel. Currently running Work wheels, but will be changing style.
I know that the wheels I'm planning are high end (mostly...
I haven't chose any turbo yet. The SP (SP6262 I think, that's a Precision turbo?) was the other choice.
I want "bolt-on" (using stock manifold and my current DP with integrated elbow) and reliability along with not hitting my car with a whole lot of turbo lag.
I am having difficulty...
Okay... I am having trouble getting verification/fittings, etc... from people.. lol. So... questions I have ... no idea if anyone can answer.
Firstly... from Suprasport.com.. (their turbos are pretty costly... )
Can anyone decipher for me... what turbo would bolt on to a stock manifold and...
