Hehe, hope you plan on paying around 500-700 for one, I have one coming in I no longer need... I paid 530.00 shipped from japan should be in by the 31st, I won't need it though, I am doing a 1jz swap so...
Hey Jay. I ordered a 1jz gasket kit from Jeff at Champion 152.00 shipped. I am not going to rebuild the bottom end, I kind of wan to get this engine running 1st, and the bottom end looked great in there. The stock gasket set comes with a nice metal HG I will use that, and I am 110% definitely...
Alright. I have now taken apart my whole 1jz motor now. I did not dissemble the bottom end.. everything else is off only thing left in there is a crank, rods, pistons bearings, rings extent.. I have some question though.
1.) Would it be a good idea to buy 2jz arp head studs, I would be able...
Cam cap 14 ft-lbs in several passes. There is a sequence, make sure you have it.
Now fro the arp toque spec, you have to follow "ARP" [s] directions on how many ft-lbs to torque it down, if you use their grease or oil it depends. Oil is more torque, and the grease is less, read the directions..
Technically.. they're not seals ( like rubber ) but they do seal oil* and they are rings that do the sealing.. so I will let this be, no seals, just sealed metal rings that do the job.
From total understand the oil pressure let the shaft spin on the oil, just like a crank is suppose to, and...
So it is possbile that if a bearing wears our or get's dmaged oil could leak into the compressor side?
That is all I am trying to get at here, now I have Doward being a complete idiot rambling on, and he is not involved here, I like how this spun out of control... only because I have posted...
Bullshit wow. Man you have serious issues getting all "upset" on here, and you're only excuse is, I have bullshit and I do not know what I am saying, and I get all my information from the internet? When you have something useful to say that's another thing.
When you have something stupid to...
Behind? Lol so you are trying to say the bearings on the compressor side don't go bad and won't put oil in then IC piping? Well okay? Yet i am still behind right? You're the one that will bit responde to the question, but you can tell me i behind?
I al not trying to be an ass here, just...
* well considering it's not a seal I just put that so ignorant people don't bitch. it's a bearing. Turbo''s do not have Seals*** and yes I have torn apart plenty of turbos..
::moebaker::
I was curious if I get IS 300 2jz-ge mounts that go on the engine and the fluid filled mounts that come with it and bolt it to my 1jz, will it fit a mkiii 89+ I have a 92. Thanks here the link...
I have taken off lower IC piping before, I had a nice little stream of oil that came out. It was a stock '87 Supra with 150K though. Oil in the IC piping, totally normal, if your turbo is goes bad, it can also push oil out of the bearings and send it through. Blow by from your engine as well can...
I imagine two things, #1 you don't want to resuraface the block + head, or you don't have enough to do that and put a metal head gasket on.
I had a stock Hg 17 PSI with no problems, ran it for about 8 months, then is old the car.
I torqued a stock HG down to 74 FT-lBS with RP head STUDS
I drilled the center then took a flat head pried it out, was not hard for me, I didn't use this on my car. I was just curious what was under the plug. The screw has a Flat head tip so you can adjust it though.
