That's the whole failing on reading the "good" builds. You have to read between the lines. People with mad mechanical skill can do a lot for cheap but it takes a lot of time and attention to the details. After reading for years about all the troubles and mishaps, I find most occurred due to an...
rc injectors 1000cc <--- Are these the older or newer technology. I haven't seen anyone commenting on how well these run. I went with what was recommended in almost everything I read and bought the Injector Dynamic 1000 cc injectors just because of their overall control. They have a huge range...
Scheduled r154 for stage 2 build at jack transmission (very excited about having a trany I can shift properly), saw the 1000 cc injectors installed (suhweet), thumbed up the sp6265 sitting pretty on the silver ceramic coated hks long runner manifold, bought a turbo blanket to keep my hood from...
The exhaust is probably the first best upgrade. It won't mess with anything engine wise but will allow it to breathe correctly. If I was to change anything on the Supra, that would be the one thing.
No idea if that's what is causing your problem.. just a red flag when I read "I cleaned my AFM". Usually from what I have read, it just causes poor idle. My worry is that you have done a lot of upgrades so its going to be harder to backtrack the system to find the issue. I cant help you because...
Bit the bullet, pulling my R154 and sending it to this place for a Stage2 rebuild plus asking them to upgrade the first gear thrust washer. Will let you know in about a month how it goes. (well.. maybe 2.. because snow will be on the ground and they estimate a 3-4 week turn around.)
I thought sealer (internal) was no longer available for car gas tanks. I wanted to deal mine a couple years back and they told me that wasn't done using their sealer because today's gas eats it. Don't know if that's the case but the one I wanted I couldn't use even though the web advert said it...
Even with minimal pictures I find build threads are good car diaries. You can look back after a few years and see the huge difference, plus you get little ego boosts to help you when you start wondering "why".
I could run 14-18 psi with my 57 Trim CT26 and stock intercooler.. no issues. It was when I added the 60-1 and upgraded the intercooler that things went wonky. Simple solution... T4.. standalone... done deal.
As it turns out, 2 trans are on their way from the shop my car is in.. so... mine will be accompanying them. Going to be sooooo nice to be able to normal shift 1-2-3 and 3-2-1 again.. lol.

was going to send to Driftmotion for a rebuild, but this looks just as good and I would deal directly with the rebuilder.
Anyone heard or had dealings with them? They look good.
I wouldn't touch either really. Its not like there is a shortage of quality cars to buy instead. I took almost 2 years to buy my Supra. In the end, 3-5 years later, I would have bought different now that I know the car bumper to bumper.
The key is to get a car that either a. your going to...
I had fuel cut on my 60-1 with the upgraded intercooler but Im not sure why. It would cut out right when the turbo spiked and then slap back on (kind of like a bang) and start pulling hard. I had to play with my boost controller to even it out and in the end, I couldn't boost 14 psi+ without...
