Ha I would like to see someone rip the whole TEMS circuitry out of the car. that means it will take you 7 weeks to take each wire out of a harness, take the dash out to, take everything out. Good luck with that!
Have many members on here done this? Would you think this to be beneficial?
I always like trying to new things, and though most people have a lot of there things done at a shop I would like to try this at home. I have dremels and tools of use.
Thanks for posting this.
Sometime next week I will figure out how much it will cost. I cut a section of my '88 Hardtop out if the shop wants to use it.
I like the hardtops a lot more then rusting sunroofs that are glass? A glass sunroof looks horrible. I had a '92 Teal Supra with a sunroof, and that was very nice...
Fair enough. I am going to figure in the 7M as a good motor for now. I am working on the 5-speed swap into my auto, and I hope.. I can do it, I would like to try to do it by myself until I run into problems.
Guess we shall see.
7M's are reliable motors. Most people on here blow a head gasket. We all " know this is a issue " but from what I see motors don't blow until around 150K-190K
For a performance motor I think this is fine.
When you accurately build the 7M and realize what you have, then this motor is just...
Darn.. got to it before me Jdub..
:\
Dealership price I believe someone told me the other day they called 186.00 a piece?
Hope you don't need any.

Your thermostat starts opening at 187-194 Degree's, it should never rise above 212, if you have this issue something is wrong are you sure it was 220 degree's. it is possible your sensor is done.
Hope this helps you.
Yes this was the chamber it was bad on. I guess this would make sense then, why would it only happen on that side?
Now that I look at it, those rings around each chamber I wonder if the head was milled to much? and the pistons are lightly slappying the head?
I guess I will have to figure out...
Alright well I took this head off my JDM motor I got, I found out it had rod knock and it was a good thing I checked it all out. When I took apart the bottom end Cyl. #1 rod bearing was in 3 pieces.
Anyhow.my plans are to have it resurfaced fro a MHG.
If any photo's need to be larger or you...
Alright time for some updates!
I finally got the '88 JDM motor apart. Good news the smart person had ARP head Studs on it, so I can re-use them of course.
Today I got the retarded sunroof out. My car was a hard Top from the factory and then someone down the line said " wow this car would look...
Yes you actually need a " Tuning Device "
I had just a Safc for basics. It's nothing great, but it is better than nothing at all.
I would look into tuning devices or a stand alone, or piggyback system.
