What was the very first car you ever owned?

A 1972 Triumph TR6 That is one very fun car to drive. 2.5L six, that you can toss into a corner, no fear.:naughty: Sucker sits so low in the floor pan, that you can't drive with you're arm resting comfortably on the door (I'm a six footer). This car was nicely balanced as well. Only complaint...

    any un-needed parts under there?

Have you checked the distributor for base timing? Try this, the online TSRM: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=IG&P=3 I've found it a life saver, (for the 7M), when I felt like killing the build. Van

    The hp of the 7mgte

So, what amount of preload would my CT26 need to postpone the wastegate opening at 8 psi? That is when it creeps open now, despite my setting the boost controller to not open before 10 psi. I'm using a Blitz dual SBC. Thanks. Van

    any un-needed parts under there?

I've read that it helps the EFI system maintain fuel atomization when OA temps are cool and during cold starts. Van

any supra owners in oregoncity or gladstone area want to meet up

I agree, waiting until after the holidays is a good idea at this time of the month. Let us know when you are ready. It would be great to see your progress too. DO you have a build thread? Van

    PacNW Supra sighting thread

I was out visiting WA relatives in my MKIII, when I spotted a Red, MKIV, with blacked-out windows, parked up on the concrete freeway divider, at the on ramp from Central Valley Rd NW to WA 303 NW, in the Silverton area. It was very near freezing and we had snow that day, mixed with rain. Sad to...

    Race Ready 7M

Hi CajunKenny. No, ran out of time and $$$. All that was done was a base tune, and setting the boost at 10psi (after they spent almost an hour sorting out the misfire). I need to purchase a fuel controller, and that isn't in the budget at present. :( Van

My car is lean going into boost

Hi Devin, That is imperssive, (the graph of the AFRs on your Supra). I'd love to have those AFRs on my Supra. What are the mods you took to get that result? If you could list them, that would be great. Thanks. Van

    RSR Race springs

I've been using the RSR racing springs for the past year and find they helped stablize the Supra when I'm going around the track. This summer I added Tanabe anti-sway bars, and now the roll is all but gone. As far as the roughness of the road goes, I've been running less air in my tires (28-30...

    Race Ready 7M

Update on the "stumble": Mine turned out to be caused by a small "U" shaped crack in the ceramic insulator on a spark plug, that only caused "break-up" under load. They replaced the bad plug, now the "Race Ready 7M" works better than stock! The plug that had the flaw was new. So check not only...

Anyone know how to DELETE THE POWERSTEERING on an Mk3?

After I deleted the power steering, the rack on my Supra is not as tight w/o the fluid:3d_frown:(more lash), but I am better able to feel the road. I'm planning on removing the Supra rack and going with a manual RX7 rack and pinion. Here's a link to the procedure...

    Can Supras Turn?

Toyota managed to get the weight down to 1340kg (2954lbs), for the Group A Supra. http://www.turbosupras.com/pages/pages/specifications/MA70GA/ma70ga-chassis.htm http://www.turbosupras.com/images/Group%20A/Group%20A%20Interior%207.jpg

    cutting out high rpms

I see... No codes. When was the last time you worked or had work done on it? It couldn't hurt to check the plugs and the wires. Look in the online TSRM for more: it also has a decision tree in the ignition section, under trouble shooting...
