I had all sorts of electrics, then went to 1/8 gas buggy and hated it, went back to electric. That 1/8 scale stuff will put you in the poor house. $80 for a set of rc car tires? They must be on crack.
Good point, so really, the megasquirt would not be something you could make 100% plug and play then? To be honest, when people talk about standalones, and they have no idea how to do the wiring at all, it makes me wonder if a standalone is really the right thing for them in the first place...
I do want Heidi to be in there too!
It does need a cover, maybe there could be a vote for cover girl, that would be 13 girls, or it could go to Jan of the next year, a 13 month callendar. :dunno:
If this turns into another forum meltdown that would really really suck. Even though I am already planning to paint her car just for the photo shoot, and she has already been at the gym for the last two days and is very excited about it, if it is going to cause problems 1jz_Roxy will withdraw...
Keep in mind that a "boost cut eliminator" could be a "bhg enabler" because fuel cut is there as a safety net. If you disable it the engine can run lean and damage could occur. If you are hitting fuel cut at 8 psi you probably have a boost leak or your stock fpr is not functioning correctly.
For a 7mge? They both could work with a distributor, but I am not going to be making harnesses for those.
It's looking like the 89-92 7mgte and 1jz-gte harnesses would be the most popular, followed by the 86-88 7m-gte.
I could make a 1jz harness for the megasquirt if someone wants to send me their megasquirt harness. Then I would have it copied and it would look top notch. The Stinger really is a better standalone then the MS but I digress. :dunno: I already have the wiring diagram made up for the 1j to the...
He didn't say exactly what brand they were, but I would closely inspect all crossdrilled rotors for hairline cracks on a regular basis. Two major things you don't want to cheap out on a turbo Supra are the fuel system and the brakes.
We just talked to a guy yesterday who's son had a Supra with the really cheap Chinese crossdrilled rotors on it, a rotor broke in half on the freeway and locked up a front wheel and sent the car straight into a concrete barrier and totalled the car. He was ok because it's a Supra, but the car...
Well just like most heated arguements on the forums there is only an arguement because no one has shown proof to back up their side of the debate. I am going to do a flow test on a 5m and 7m head and then there will be nothing to argue about. :icon_wink
Thanks Tanya for clearing that up. I was only referring to the 5m, and how the lower horsepower output was more to do with the lower compression and flow of the stock 5m head then the 0.2L less displacement.
