The ARP main studs have a higher torque rating then stock, which is why the line hone is recommended, not because they fit tight in the caps. :icon_wink You could get away without it on the mains, but not for rods. :thumbup:

That's funny, so the shop you go to bases their prices off of how much of a sucker you look like when you walk in? Ours has a price sheet, you either want the work done or you don't. If the shop actually has the right equipment to surface the deck with the RA required, they will not charge less then $75. I know I place I can get a head surfaced for $25, and it looks like crap because it's done on a big belt sander. I pay $100 to surface a deck and $100 to surface a head...

Gutless...LOL Have you driven one Nick? How many of those 7m's were at the drags in Vegas? Dave's 1jz was running 14.0 sec, it is totally stock, and it was the fastest mk3 there. Bring your bpu 7m over to my place and we'll see how it does against my wife's stock 1jz with an auto trans.

I called them, they are only made special order, and retail would be probably close to $2000 for a set! Like I mentioned before there are V8 rods selling around $250-$500 a set so I would not want to spend $1500+ for I6 rods.

Yes, with a MAFT you can use a GM 3" or 3.5" MAF, or MAFT Pro you can use either the GM MAF go speed density with a map sensor and air temp sensor.
