Check the connector on the termostat housing. It comes off sometimes, or should I say I had mine come off, and it will cause the gauge to not work.
good luck
Or order the connectors from Jeff at Champion Toyota (about 22 bucks shipped for two!!:icon_bigg), and do the knock sensor rewire.
Good luck,
here is Jeff's Number at Champion if you want it!

Yeah I bought a box off of Ebay for 25 bucks shipped. Then after I already purchased it I thought to myself, why do you need that stupid sensor anyway, I am constantly looking things over, the sensor is usless... But yeah, it jumpered till it gets here, and everything is working great! I am...
Yeah I opened it up to clean it and inspect, but from what I could tell the resistors looked good, so I will have to see what I find. I will search for CRE... I found one on ebay from an 88 supra and will probably get it after I make sure it is in fact the box tomorrow.
Thanks again for your...
Yeah I thought of that since I don't know how hard it is going to be to get a replacement for the car so. That will also definitely tell me if it is the box. Thanks a lot JetJock, I appreciate your help!
Ok sorry JJ...
I was able to find the testing instructions for the Lamp Failure Sensor and I turned on the running lights and got voltage from the harness side of the tail light lead. So since I got no voltage at the electrode in the socket, I guess that means I need a new sensor. So hopefully...
I am sorry if I see ignorant, I just have been working on this for quite some time and can't get it to fully work. So if the Light Failure Sensor is bad then this would cause the filaments in my tail lights to not light, correct? (since it monitors and not controls, but from what I can tell is...
Ok so I had a little time to look at the wiring diagrams in the TSRM and from what I could tell the only thing that has a direct path to the tail lights only is the light failure sensor. So the Tail light relay along with the tail light fuse supply power to all the park/interior/license plate...
Yeah I thought of that, but like I said, the fuse hasn't blown since I cleaned the small corrosion deposits I found. The problem is the tail lights don't light. All the other park/gauge lights that run off the same fuse work. (ran for about 30-40 mins.) Thanks for your input!
Does anyone know...
Ok, I have already posted some info about this ongoing problem of mine. For more info on what the history is here's the original post http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68682
So to summarize, my tail lights/park lights/interior lights haven't been working, due to the fact when...
You might want to recheck your injector o-rings that seal them into the fuel rail. Shortly after I installed my 550's (drove like 70 miles!! I lucked out!!) I sprung a leak in one injector, and another o-ring was bad. That probably what I get for trying to squeeze them in with the intake...
Hey guys,
I just have a quick question. I am doing my KS re-wire tomorrow and I got confused by some of the research I have been doing on the forum when compared to the info found on supra.com. Do you need to ground the thin-net cable in both the engine by and by the ecu (on both ends) or just...
Ok, well that is probably where I was going wrong, I was jumping the both the fuel pump relay and resistor, both on the harness side. So I will give that a shot! Thanks alot JDub and Turbojuiced
Thats what I did, I followed the procedure correctly to my knowledge, however when the Fuel Pump Relay & Resistor are jumpered as you explained, and my new relay is hooked up/wired the way you explained it blows my EFI fuse. Is there something I should check. I am going to double check my jumper...
yeah, I know what you mean. This morning the gauge seems to be registering better, about 15 at cruse and pretty rich under wot. I really wanna go maft-pro and probably will once summer starts and I have a little more cash.
As to the relay, I checked my source line (from battery) it registered...
Ok, so I got an update...
My wideband seems to be acting alright. It still doesn't register at an idle, and at wot it goes all the way to 10:1, probably way to rich. I tried turning down the fuel pressure down to 28 or so with the vacuum connected, but it started idling really bad. So i guess I...
OK, I will stick my voltameter to it and see what I come up with, I will also check the ground on the wideband and make sure it is solid. I tried the relay (bought from napa) the first time and couldnt figure out which wires to connect where, then I took that one back and got a new one that had...
Yeah I know what you mean, thanks for all your help by the way. So did you have any idea about what is up with my freakin 12v relay mod? Or any others for that matter, already fried the first walbro that came my donor vehicle (did 7mgte swap) and I am guessing it was just starved for power...
