Quick Q about "necessity" of 12V Fuel Pump Mod!?

I am pretty sure the 1 (blue 12+) wire goes to the red on the pump, then black and short blue with black box (resistor?) go to the black on the pump. If I remember they need to be spliced together. Someone correct me if I am wrong! GL!

    Throttle Cable

Yeah I am currently putting a 7mge (engine isnt installed yet) into a 87 Turbo shell and was wondering if the throttle cable will work from a turbo car (appears to be 18 inches or so) and mate up to the throttle linkage on the 7mge or if it will be too short? Thanks!!

Quick Q about "necessity" of 12V Fuel Pump Mod!?

Like everyone said, you don't NEED to do it, but it will make you life easier when tuning. I think it makes the pump last a lot longer as well. The rewire will take maybe an hour to complete. It is WELL worth the time, not to mention it only costs like 20 bucks to do. Great mod for the...

    knock sensor question

yeah, its easiest if you have a friend help you loosen the starter so you can get the rear one on! Virtually impossible w/o loosening the starter bolts... even with a pre-89 car. Good luck!

Quick Q about "necessity" of 12V Fuel Pump Mod!?

I don't know if it is an absolute necessity, but from what I hear the stock fuel pump is only ran on 9V or so. So obviously if you run a 12V fuel pump ie the Walbro, then you should re-wire it so it can get the voltage it needs. I had a Walbro ran off the stock setup for about a year and then it...

    Code 52/ Heater hose?

there is lots of write ups on the subject just search code 52 or knock sensor rewire and it will pull up a ton of discussion. Just make sure you only ground one side of your wire, by the ecu is easiest. To quote jetjock, "The factory wiring grounds the shield only at the ECU. The reason for that...

    Hard Power Steering

Here you go! To get you started one goes to the bottom of the accordian hose and one connects to the metal pipe (small black) that runs along the timing case. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=EC&P=4 http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/techtips.aspx

Hey I just found out my coil pack harness (lead in between the engine harness and the coil packs) was all cracked and brittle... So I decided to repair it with some heat shrink and solder. Well I took pictures of all the wires so I could put them in their correct places, and unfortunately I...

    Spearco Style Intercooler

I have the smaller spearco style intercooler. I kept my oil cooler in the same place. My intercooler was a little bit of a pain to mount, I welded exhaust brackets onto the bumper mount. The aluminum ones it came with were flimsy and broke when I tried to bend them into shape. It was also tight...

Yeah so I am going to re-run the hoses like ADJUSTER has done on his, with the two valve covers t-ed attached to the TB port and then into the catch can, then from the other inlet/outlet of the Catch can to the accordian intake. So should I just get a new catch can? Or use pvc to plug the...

Try your Lamp Failure Sensor. I had my tail lights go out "mysteriously" and turned out the box was bad. Try jumping the connections for the brake lights as per tsrm and see if they turn on, if so its the lfs. So give it a try... Good luck
