JJ- Tester was hooked up to the comp. inlet. The car will not idle properly, which makes me believe that is due to a vacuum leak. The idle is rough and it starts to run really rich after a short period of time (like the time it takes to pressurize the motor and for it to start leaking). I made a...
The rings haven't seated into the cylindars yet, I just finished a rebuild the motor has been ran for probably 30 seconds total. It sounds like it is leaking air through where it mounts, the main part that slips into the head (sorry I'm so term-illiterate). A little leak there is where the air...
The non-flushiness has been resolved. I updated my problem in the first post, now it sits fine (I'm just retarded) but air seems to be escaping through cracks in the cover. I have a new cover on the way but why is air going through it in the first place? Would it be bad to RTV it to the head...
Ya I guess I've had one too many 4am nights working on it, I completely forgot about hot vs cold oil. Thing is I can't keep it running well in the first place. When I checked for leaks yesterday the CPS was dumping out air because I hadn't pressed it in all the way, silly me. I'll check it...
Gah! If anyone has been following any of my threads, I finally got my car running after a rebuild. I hooked up my mechanical oil pressure gauge just now using the adapter to go to our blocks and ran copper hose all the way to my gauge. So I start it up and it goes up to about 40-45 psi at IDLE...
Much thanks to everyone. I was running it like that but not really as it was only on for 10 second intervals a few times. I guess that's still enough to eat up the gears. So all I have to do is remove the CPS, buy a seal (or kit if O'rilleys has one in stock) and figure out how to get it flush...
What in the world is keeping it from laying flush then? When I was adjusting the timing when the motor was out everything was lined up correctly. I had to insert the CPS a few times to get it lined up correctly but it never slid in flush, just enough to grab the gear. It sort of idles fine, but...
**Installed and timed CPS correctly**
Still have a boost leak, so I tested it again and it sounds like the air is coming out of my (cracked) CPS cover??? Is air even supposed to be on that side of the CPS? I didn't think it mattered because, well, many people's covers are broken. I'll be...
I hope I'm not considered in the "younger people," :nono: given that I am young... I wanted a turbo Supra two summers ago but at the time I didn't know much about them. Well, instead of just going out and finding the cheapest one right away, I spent a year and a half researching, reading...
Few pictures if anyone is still watchin this...I haven't been the best at updating it. The motor is running now, but at 400 rpm. TPS issue? Wired other two gauges, in the middle of the auto fan relay, yea everything works now but I need the stupid throttle linkage piece that I can not find...
I'd be afriad to eat chips while watching tv like the Simpsons episode when they get a ton of puppies. Those things could swoop out from no where and steal your chips!

The part of the spark plug that is in the head was covered in burnt oil? Might be bad valve stem seals leaking oil into combustion chamber and burning onto them.

Ignitor should have two of those gray plugs, one 4-wire and one 6-wire IIRC, and yes it is mounted on the DS shock tower. Does it go to your coilpack? Take a picture and someone should be able to identify it easily.

Although I'm not sure about the pressurized part, as far as sealing them use new gaskets and you can put a light layer of RTV silicone and use the allen-head bolts instead of the stock screws. Suprasport sells them, a kit is like $15
