Haha nice! I got a parking ticket in front of my house last January (:icon_evil ) because my car wasn't running so I put a huge roll of carpet padding up by the rear bumper and had my brother push it up into my driveway with his Explorer. Worked a lot smooter than I thought it would!
If the car doesn't have an intercooler and the hoses from the turbo and the throttle body aren't connected, no it will not start.
If you can hear it knocking when it's cranking over, I wouldn't even try to start it.
I'm confused, are you trying to sell your motor to buy a new one? How low of an RA value was the head and block decked to? Did you drop the oil pan to remove coolant from the pan, water kills bearings..quick. What did you torque the ARP head bolts to? Did you re-torque them after a few heat...
IIRC, most Ford Powerstroke turbos have a 1.00-1.15 a/r which is way too big to run *efficiently* on even the most well put together 7MGTE motors.
Just my $.02
On my last car I bought off-the-shelf Raybestos Carbon Ceramic pads and they worked great, with hardly any brake dust. If they make them for Supras or not I am not sure of.
The woodruff keys are there to hold the crank pulley from wobbling around on the crank. You want to make sure you buy them from Toyota if you replace them, they're only $2.50 a piece. Damaging your crank...a new one of those is about $900.
Yes, he has to be having problems still...
IWantMKIII: I forgot what you said before, do you have a wideband installed? Have you changed many things on your SAFCII? What do you have your adjustable cam gears set to?? Check compression? :dunno:
There has to be a boost leak...
What do you guys think? I just completed my rebuild, I'm waiting on a CPS and after that my car should be running. Would it be better to keep my HKS VPC/GCC and EVCII or try to sell it all to switch to Maft-Pro with boost control?
I heard it is better/easier to get the car running in stock...
