Bah...all he had to do was ask...:nono:
So as of now is this like the only known picture of it available on the web?
::Calling Holmes, Sherlock Holmes:::sadwavey:
Looks like a T3 flange to me by the rounded corners. There are tons of T3 turbos out there and with that you can mount any, as long as it would clear the shock tower.
Ha I'm not looking to do the same, it's just not something that comes around often enough and his motor looks like he went to extreme measures to get it right. Just thought some more info/pics would be nice.
It was built by Bob Norwood at Norwood Performance (a.k.a. Norwood Autocraft) I first saw it in my book "How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems" on pg.13, and the same picture in the movie.
Does anyone have any information on this car, or more pictures? It is at 4'11" of the "7M...
Connects to metal pipe that runs atop the motor and on the other end of the pipe is another short piece of hose that connects to the accordian before the turbo. Follow the path you'll see.
Here you go, I got bored the last 10 minutes of work...

You could buy several off of here or ebay before raking up $807. You would have a good chance of finding a working used one if you just look a little before placing an order through Toyota.
If you have the money and don't mind, go for it, but there are much better deals out there.
edit...
Boost leak? Maybe you're running rich and it backfired (pop noise) and the same time your 02 sensor got gummed up with unburned fuel and it's making it run crappy? :dunno:
Check to see if there are any thrown codes and get back to us.
Different cars you have to change the dip switches, but IIRC early MKIV's use the same setting as the MKIII. As far as that, the injector chip is all you would have to change if you were using different size injectors.
I'm a little confused, he wants to help the community out by making many pieces, but won't mass produce them, and won't take personal orders?? Will it be like a group buy where 15 people can buy his product?
Anyway I'd vote adapter to 2JZ intake manifold anyday. Or maybe some carbon fiber...
I think he's referring to this turbo timer, it reads off of the stock narrowband 02 sensor: http://www.jazzproparts.com/product_p/401-a011.htm Probably tapped into the wrong wire possibly?
You could pull it off without the Lex but you'd have to cut a ton of fuel with the S-AFC2, precisely 25%:evil2: I would just get the Lex afm to balance it out and be able to tune from a good base.
Glad to see this project back underway!! It sucked watching you prep the white shell's engine bay so perfectly and then you had to go and scrap it like that... Your patience sure has paid off, your motor and transmission look top-notch and you must put up videos once it's running, or at least...
