y0 Rick, you're rubbing the rear due to wrong offset. even if you go 11 wide on the rear you still need to get correct offset. you can go up to 295 for the rear as long as the offset is around 40-45... I have 8" wide on 25mm offset with 245 and the side of the tire is right below the fender...
Don't listen to these guys about their shifting gear with no clutch :thumbdown . Do yourself a fucking favor. Park the damn car and get your ankle healed ASAP... end rant !
mine has the gen II design and fortunate the twins were in good shape. JARCO wasn't lying when it sold me the clip and confirmed that it wasn't smoking.
you prolly killed it when you ran it on a dyno with 20psi. blown twins will smoke like !MF! at idle. if you are letting off the throttle or during decell and you get a puf of smoke that is normal. but if you're getting a lot of smoke well my guess is something else.
mine was 294@12psi (mustang dyno though - could be higher on dynojet) stock ecu/cams/no y-pipe with the stock jza70 3" dp. my guess is with the aem ems and good tuning 20hp is achievable...
it would be if you were going to replace the twins but I still would not pay 250+ dollars to swap out the stock down pipe and not have a noticeable gain in hp. Unless proven otherwise in dyno then I will stand corrected.
