If you want 400rwhp, I agree with foreverpsycotic. If you are giong higher in the future then start with you end goal in mind. GT35r sounds like the way to go.
Trust me, 400 get slow really fast. OH and don't take shortcuts, get the right parts for your build from the get-go if you can afford them.
The man of the hour.....Going for big numbers huh? That's seems to be the new trend lately with these here 1jz's. 500rwhp is childs play, 701 seems to be the new bar and 8xx. Nice!
Hard to say, I asked a friend about this but if black is not coming out It could be lack of spark.
This happen once to my car. All I remember doing different was unplugging the ECU to reset it. Car ran like crap for about 15mins, then started to smooth out some until it ran perfect. It's worth...
Dude..... , I've seen ur son and he's taller then you... He better not read this otherwise he'll hockey check you in a father and son basketball game...:biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
I love my boys. They are 2yrs and the other 5months. Best feeling in the world.
NO Problem dude. Only catch is you gotta bring a friend, preferably the one in the Avatar... LOL
I got a buddy who stay up in pompano and is upgrading his current single set up and it always down to hang. So let me know and I'll put you in contact with him since he's up your way.
That depends how much power you will have. If you have stock power then it's the best thing in the world.
Once you up your power you hate it. You'll whine out so fast it's frustrating.
I had 4.30 then went to 4.08 posi. major difference. Plus I have 19" so makes the gears a bit longer at that.
buddy built one that had 803 for 3 years. Weekend beater, never had issue. But decided to go 2j and now he's making 650... LOL so he down graded....
Cams was the only internal mods
I think with 500 you should be ok, but 1000hp to be realistic will require New internals all around. Not that these are bad but they do look beat up. You will demand so much out of your engine that everything must be on point with little room for error.
That dude that everybody talks about...
No not on these, PT67. Theser are good for high 4xx or low 5xx. I would not expect these to be there on pump. IVe reach 485 with my gt40.So yeah you can do it with these but to go 600 I would say this would not be the way
That's exactly what I paid for it. The are a good bang for your buck. And I have been using them for about 1 1/2 yrs and I have yet to see it blow. They are very robust.
Yes, it's been done. Cams do add horses, but one of the things they do Is give you a better power curve. But yes you can make well over 550 with out cames.
I've been present to witness this.
