agree with RIC I got a GT4082 and made 485 on pump. No cams just stock block and head with a SAFC. I am getting a retune and will most likely break 500 with no problem.
So a 4088 will do that and more.
I got 550, I made 485 and I am still -15% at my highest afr. For some reason they come back at 450cc but yet make the power of 550cc. I choose to believe the dyno instead of the flow bench.
I'll be retuning in a week or so to max out my set up. I am sure I'll break 500 with not problem.
Reap you don't need too much to make that power. I have a gt40 550cc inj. stock fuel rail and SAFC2 and I made 485, I dropped it to 468. You have what it takes. Oh I also have stock clutch and no cams. My car is a daily driver too.

HEre's my interpretation. I am in first I know I don't hit full boost until 4400 or so, depress the clutch slightly where the car start to roll, I hit the gas and while clutch not fully depress which revs my engine and spins the turby. once I feel the time is right I let go of the clutch...
No not really, The turbo is not on it's efficiency level. At higher psi this turbo
will make more HP per psi.
Like I am making 468 @ 20psi but I am in my efficiency range and maybe have a few more psi before I get out of my range and actually start loosing power instead of gaining or run...
If I get this on Video, it's going to be a never ending Piss party with a 1j vs 2j debate And many 1j fanatic will be saying " pound for pound a 1j has more balls than the 2j. "

That's exactly my debate right now. I hear it all too often on how I should of gone 2j from the get go. But to be 600+ your daily drivability goes out the window. So 550rwhp is like the sweet spot for power & DD'ing.
So the 1j will do with a nasty powerband.

Actually we ran 3 times. One was from a Dig, I cleaned him by 2nd gear. The other was from a 40 same outcome. The one mentioned at the beginning of the thread was the best out of the 3.
1j has alot of balls and growing....
People would make comments like "a 1j with 500rwhp and a 2j with 500rwhp, the 1j would win because of xyz reason"
