Well today I went one step forward and 2 steps backwards :( Reinstalled the sub / battery box. Then went to start filling the cooling system and my radiator now has a leak!! WTF. It is leaking from where the lower rad hose connects then goes in the end tank. So I will prob, just re solder...

Yep you can mount either one in either spot. They have the same harness and do the same thing. Yes I have had them in both spots on my 7m. I can personally verify that they both work in either spot. If anything from the pic posted you have 2 of the same ones. IIRC one has the mounting...
