For the track just get a used one. A normal "used" condition is 100-150. A mint condition 1 1/4" paddle track with studs in it is 300 ;) We have a few used tracks down here after parting out 25 sled just this year

What happened to your 1j ? IIRC last summer it was running pretty strong.

I have used "C" clamps before with no problems to press back in the pistons. Just use a piece of alum, or what ever you have around so the base of the clap covers both sides of the piston. Then I used a piece of wood on the back side so the clamp didn't scratch the caliper.
