so i finally got my car to start up. :) i have to fiddle with the gas pedal to start it. When it does start, in order to keep it alive i have to, you know, kepp it alive with the gas pedal. But it kinda goes on its own and revs up to about 5k then comes down to how much i have my pedal in. Idk...
what does you mean seal properly? is oil supposed to be going in there? cause if so then i see what u mean... but i dnt know if oil is supposed to be going all the way through to in my car.
ok so i was just cranking my car over, trying to start it and oil is now like actually coming out from behind my guage. Its pumping out from the tube where it connects to the guage. What does that mean, i have to much oil? oil pressure? idk why its doing it.
So i had some valves stuck open on my old head, just put a new one on. The car hasnt been started yet after the rebuild.
so im cranking the car over, and the tach is moving a lil up and down, not alot but it is. So after a couple tries, the car doesnt crank anymore and theres a humming noise...
ok thanks guys ill call em up with the part number then. And is it just the dipstick? or does it also come with the dipstick tube? cause i need that to... lol i guess ill see when i call em up.
ya its not leaking, i was just wondering about the lil oil spots in the nylon tubing. THANKS!! and the toyota by me doesnt have a dip stick for my car... so idk ill prolly just have to make the universal one work i guess... :(
no i have a dipstick from auto zone in there but im thinking it goes too deep. And im not running it with anything... its has started yet after the rebuild!! lol TOYOTA doesnt have them i just called.
no its IN the line... lol its that white tubing that you twist onto a brass fitting thing connected to your block and the white tubing runs to the oil guage inside the car. i wish i had a camera to show you. (iphone just broke) lol found a pic on google.
so i put an aftermarket oil pressure guage in my supra. I just looked at my line and theres oil spots in it all up to my firewall. is this normal? To much oil?
And on a second note, I ddnt have an oil dipstick on my block from the PO. So i went and bought one from autozone. How long is the...
I currently have a supra thats on its way to getting fired up. I have a bad head so im getting a new one. But when i did try to crank my car over my tach moves a little up and down. So what does that mean? my ecu is fried?
yep thats exactly what i did... idk its all timed... on the toyota manual, there was a part that said wen its at TDC u should be able to see the top of the cam lobe through the oil fill cap. I cant see the tip, but its just out of sight almost there... r u supposed to actually see the cam lobe...
ya its a fresh rebuild... how would i tell if the cam timing is off? u mean the actual cam? cause idk how that could be that off.. lol isnt there only one way it can go on?
so my car still wont start!!! idk what the hell it is. Im getting REALLY FRUSTRATED!!! so wen i do a compression test nothin at all shows up on the dial. Not even a flinch. in any cylinder... In the compression guage it has that air valve. Every other one ive used hasnt had that in there. Would...
well i havnt started my motor after i rebuilt it yet, and i dont have the screw. Isn't there supposed to be a screw that controls how much the butterfly door thing inside the throttle body stays open. Like so its not completely closed when im not on the throttle.
