havnt checked for codes... im going to today hopefully. It just what it says on here right? http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/TechTips/engine_error_codes.aspx
I thought the vacuum was off, and was wondering how it made boost without load... lol
No no smoke, i mean a couple tmes there was some...
so i put hooked the guage up to the back of the manifold like you guys said, and its still the same... I get about 7 inHG of vacuum.. but wen the engine revs its self up to 2.5 k and back down (keeps doin it over and over) the vacuum goes down to about 15 or so.
shouldnt the vacuum get closer...
Ya its aftermarket and i have it connected to the 2 vacuum ports for the egr line on the top of the throttle body... So where do you think i should put it?
so i just got my car running after a rebuild and im still working on getting it ready to drive.
My car right now idles real rough at around 1k for a little bit. When its idling at 1k my boost guage stays around 3 psi of vacuum.
After idling there for a little bit, it starts to rev its...
i havnt been able to try it yet... my car parked out side and this WIS weather sucks right now... lol wind advisory's and rain.... I wish i had a garage for it right now...
well mine was deff put in all the way. I have checked the dipstick after i had the car running for a while a couple times the fluid stayed the exact same everytime. Ill try it again for longer tommorow.
My car doesnt rev past around 3k either and idles rough right now so i dont even like...
ok well i know how to check a dipstick. I know its to full too. Ive been putting it back and forth through the gears but the TC hasnt filled yet i guess cause nothin happens. idk i might just have to pull it back out...
no im not checking it when its running.
I put the stoke TC back on. No i didnt open the tranny up.
The actually shifter lever that the linkage connects to on the tranny moves back and forth fine. Is there a mecanical linkage to disengage park inside it?
Well ive been shifting the shifter back and forth while its running and nothin. Hopefully it just takes a long time... ?
and i checked it after days of sitting. LOL i know how to check a dipstick. :) its just that there fluid in the fill tube still.
I know it takes about 8 quarts for a full refill. i was just asking if tghe torque converter will fill its self. Your supposed to fill up a tranny with a couple quarts at a time, other wise theres to much in the one in the oil pan at once. IDK So thats why i was saying theres to much, not it...
no it doesnt shift into anything. The shifter moves back and forth but it just doesnt engage. The linkage is connected. I think its just to much fluid, hopefully!!
its in park now.
ok ya thast exactly what i thought about me jumping a tooth. Its hard to get that damn belt tight all around!! lol any tricks to that or i just gotta get it right? Its like its always a tooth to far to be tight.
well i had originally put like 6 quarts in right away cause thats what someone told me to do. I think its way to much for all at one time. I took about 2 - 3 quarts out already, and its still above both the HOT and COLD check marks. what do you guys think?
So i just got my car to start up after the rebuild. It doesnt shift into any gear though. My buddy said that its probably because i didnt put anything in the torque converter.
So my question is have any of you done this? Will it fill up if i let it idle a bit? Cause i mean it doesnt shift...
the linkage it moving just fine, maybe its because theres to much fluid in there? lol
But i just looked at my car after running it for a lil bit. And my cams are both pointing up but my crank mark is at 5 now. It was at 0 before i timed it with a timing light. Its not supposed to change like...
ok so i had the tps unplugged, and now it doesnt do that. But now it wont rev past about 3.5 k. It idles rough to. Im thinking its a vacuum leak, does that sound right? it must be the intercooler piping somewhere.
And my auto tranny wont shift into any gear. I move it back and forth but it...
