so i bought a knock sensor off a guy a while ago cause i was missing one.
Well my car is a pre 89 with the yellow clips and what not. MY stock knock sensor has a yellow plastic part on it, while the one i bought for the missing one is a grey one.
I have a code 52 now and i was wondering if...
just take it all apart if your getting it decked.... If youve never taking it apart, i would cause its a fun learning experience... :D but ya i deff wouldnt get it decked with out it being disassembled.
Just use an impact to get the crank pulley off. I had to heat mine till it was red hot...
I checked and its all tightened and everythin... thanks though...
Im pullin it out on monday.... i just hope i didnt fuk anything by not putting the TC on all the way.... Thats the only thing that makes sense....
cause my fluid doest go anywhere... it just sits there... so it must not be all...

Its just that when someone is explaining what connects the tranny to the LSD, that a differential is in the back or that something is...

ya the drive shaft turns when i spin the wheels, obviously it would if its connected. The diff works fine.
and ya the shift linkage is connected and moves back and forth fine.
so i know you need a bov. But when you think of it, if we have a recirculated BOV, whats the point? Because no matter what the air is still going to be in our intake system you know. all it does is reroute some of it to a dfferent part of the intake.

Ive been switching gears, back on forth for a while, and it still hasnt grabed at...
well it does move into nuetral.
Me and my buddy jacked up the back of the car and tested all the gears and how to wheels spin. It all good. It must be the TC.
And know my tach doest read anythin when its on. What is that about?

i tried it with the car off, but i really dont think thatll matter cause it doest shift when its on either.

So i have had my car ruuning for like 10 min shifting through gears. Nothing happened.
Has anyone on here actually not filled one up, and did you have to pull it out again? Cause so far nothing has happened and im getting ready to pull it which sucks. I just got it running good.

so in this link of how to calibrate the TPS, down a few steps it says to turn the tps until it reads 1 (infinate resistance) then slowly turn it back till it "deflects". What does that mean?
And there is supposed to be 0.2 -...
ok so i got the codes:
24 - intake air temp sensor -- what is that?
31 - AFM signal -- need replacing if that codes comes up??
41 - TPS -- replace?
51 - Idk why i have a knock sensor code cause they are both in. Do those go bad?
