Caved and bought a set. Quality is very nice. I'd say in between the OBX and the SAMCO. Can't comment on fit yet. I thought I'd be the first to post an actual pic of these things:

Same thing happened to my second engine. Crank pulley came dethreaded at 90mph :( Spun a bearing.

With the way you have those speakers installed. It wouldn't matter what brand drivers you were using. They'd all sound equally terrible.

I was referring to the SAMCO; since the kit is designed for the 1J, the lower hose needs to be stretched to fit. The OBX hoses are 7M specific and should have no fitment issues. Just a tight fit.

Nope, that's just how the OBX hoses are. Not sure if the Mishimoto's are any better or not. The Samco hoses I know for a fact are the correct diameter. Too bad the lower hose isn't the correct shape for the 7M. I bought the OBX kit soley for the lower hose since I'm not comfortable stretching...

I was thinking about grabbing this kit as well. Will still need to source those two 90 degree hoses though :( Has anyone sourced a vendor for those yet? I've found a couple; but they were like $35 a piece and cut to fit.

Kind of a waste of a 3-way setup if you ask me. The soundstage is going to be pretty much behind you. With you and a passenger in the car, I'm not sure how much sound is going to get past the seat bolsters and the occupants. Those waves are going to be bouncing all over the place. Not to mention...

Currently have an Aeromotive installed. However, I've been looking into trying one of those new Synapse AFPR's since there's no diaphram to rupture; not that I've heard of an Aeromotive diaphragm failing ;)

I have found the answer. I'm posting my findings to help users in the future. Both the 1JZ and 2JZ use identical grommets and check valves for the ISCV. 25748-88400 Valve, Check List $18.81 90210-25001 Grommet List $1.91 I still can't tell if the check valve is identical to the 7M's...

I was able to source an ISCV from a 1J for my FFIM; however, it did not include the check valve or rubber grommet. Which ones will work and where can I source it from? I'd prefer a new one since I've heard they are prone to leaks at high boost levels. I spoke with Jeff over at Champion; and...
