Just finished putting in the middle section of the 3 piece brake lights and can't figure out exactly how the hatch release cables run. There are two that come in off the middle light section and one coming from the front of the vehicle.
Yeah, I have those attached to the lower runner of the intake manifold. I'll need to go over all of my grounds, but I know they're good.
I have 0ga running from battery to frame and frame to block. Tweak'd said I should also have one going from battery to block. I can't see that possibly making...
I remember these wires to be really short. I grounded them under the battery tray.
So IJ, any ideas what the issue with my starter and fuel pump may be stemming from?
Perhaps I wired the battery up wrong. I did all my power and grounds off of it with 0ga. Perhapd I grounded something that was supposed to have power running to it. For instancez, there's a group of black and whote striped wires coming off the engine harness near the battery that are grouped...
For the love of god! Somebody help me! I'm running out of time!!!!
I spoke with the guy's at Tweak's Motorsports in Georgia. They said it can only be one of 4 things. Bad ground somewhere (is there a specific ground that affects the starter relay?), alarm needing bypassed, blown fuse or the...
Well I did the factory alarm bypass and still nothing. I can here a clicking from the passenger kick panel which is where the starter relay is, so maybe I need to perform the relay mod. The other problem I have is that I poured 3.5 gallons of gasoline into the tank and the supra isn't seeing any...
The signal wire is the one I removed and ran direct power from the battery to and it kicked on. The ECU isn't sending the voltage for some reason. I just had a thought though. I forgot to bypass the factory alarm. I removed the horn and unhooked the dash light, so I wouldn't even know if it was...
I turn the key, dash lights dim but starter does nothing. I unhooked the plug on the side of the starter and ran a power line from the battery and the starter kicked on fine. I have no idea where the problem lies. I did a Auto to manual swap and spliced the black and white wires from the AT...
I'm actually using the the PCV pipe from a 7MGE flipped around for the valve covers.
I made it look like a T to avoid further confusion. If you actually understood how the PCV system works, my initial explanation would have sufficed. And running a tube across the valve covers looks like crap...
You obviously aren't understanding what I'm saying.
Here's my setup. IJ says that the check valve to the accordian is pointless, but I already have it installed so I don't see any harm in keeping it there.
Thanks for clearing that up Grimsta. :)
Still, when I think about how little restriction most air filters have; how much vacuum can their possibly be in the intake pipe between the filter and turbo?
So since the accordian hose doesn't even see vacuum, does that mean I wouldn't need to bother running anything to it (ISCV, PCV, PS vacuum) if I'm no longer using the AFM (running VPC)? I can put a breather filter on the ISC and run the T'd off PCV hose (from FFIM) and the one PS vacuum line to...
Yeah, that's what I meant (corrected). I tried looking at the underhood diagram, but it's hard to make out due to overspray :(
From what I've seen, the GE's heater vsv's vacuum lines from it's lower solenoid go into each other. The upper metal diaphragm housing line goes over to the intake...
It seems like every time I see a pic of the vacuum lines connected, they're ran one of two ways. Is there a difference between the 7MGE and 7MGTE's paths. Perhaps some are bypassing their heater cores?
Can someone please post a pic of their heater control valve with the vacuum lines attached...
I made the mistake of purchasing a Lipp AFM when they first came out for $250. The very next week they lowered the price to $165 :(
I ended up not needing it (went VPC). So I just polished her up and placed her on a shelf. I'm hoping they get scarce or something, because I'm not letting it go...
The factory power and ground wires are not only small, but the ground points can corrode over time. Take a large wire (0/1ga is good) and run from battery to alternator, battery to frame, and frame to block. Be sure to clean all ground points. Believe it or not, in many cases this alleviates the...
I am in desperate need of the thread pitch and size of the vacuum port located on the outside of the manifold, far left, after the throttle body:
And the two on the inside of the manifold in the center:
Sorry for the old crappy pics, but it's all I have at the moment.
Anyone...
