Happened to us too.
The fan clears by lots, but heat, engine movement, among other things, and it managed to clip it.
Jason went back to a stock radiator until we can figure it out, that works fine.
1.5J advantage: You can go 1J first, then easily change to 1.5JZ when the time is right. Spreading out the cost makes it more affordable.
1.5J disadvantage: The 1J ECU is limited and you will have to make up for the displacement, flow, etc. Basically you will have to get it tuned for big...
I don't have a setup fee. That has been paid. I can get the flanges cut all day long. But you have to pay material, the cutting labor, and the labor for the hour of time to drive down there and back. By the time all of that is done, you are looking at $50-100 per pair.
If only you order a...
Just open her up. There is no need to shim the wastegates. With full exhaust and intake mods, you should hit 14-15 anyway.
After that, ECU and cams are on order, but those are expensive options. Finally get the intake charge as COLD as possible. That means cold air intake and/or IC...
The Porsche is owned by Joe aka Turbo7mgteJoe. He had a To4 7m way back when Socal started. He's an old school guy and he's always around at the larger SoCal meets.
He just happened to park there, but when the "official" socal picture was taken, he moved the car to the other side.
Sure, I have them.
However, how do you expect to get a pair less then $50? Even when I bought 6 sets of flanges, I paid a little under $40 per set before material cost. That does not include the 30 min drive to drop off material and again to pick it up.
In a stock system, you may run slightly richer at WOT, but overall the o2 sensor will compensate at part throttle. So you will not run that much more rich.
I would suggest the MK4TT pump, as it would run more like stock. However, it is much more expensive then the walbro.
What makes you...
Zach, my site does not have a shipping explanation and that is my fault. Because of that, I will be shipping all items as I get them for your situation.
I shipped you 4 parts right away because they are drop ships, and drop ships do not count against the main shipping package since it is the...
Zach, my last contact with you was that I had all but a couple of pieces ready to ship.
I want to clear up a couple of things.
First, up front payment is not required for any order.
Second, Zach purchased flat rate shipping. This means $40 shipping for as many items as you can throw...
I'm sorry that I did not make instructions. It always seemed to me that it was pretty straightforward.
Something is not right here. The rear section is pushed too far back and low.
For comparison, here is my welded up catback on the left. This is using the same parts you did. Maybe you...
Guys, the high cost is not for the CAT. It is for the labor to weld the flanges on to be a direct replacement.
If you can weld, or don't care about the bolt on nature, then yes buying a universal is the cheapest way to go.
You can make this work BUT here is the problem. The AFM is not the restriction. The AFM does not become a restriction until 300HP.
The restriction is in the cams, in the upper end. So you can do it, and it will give you a little response/torque, but not much in the way of horsepower.
