You forgot to add:
"I purchased a new radiator and radiator cap".
This is also very important, especially in 103 temps. I was driving around yesterday in 104 temps and my cooling system laughed. Here is the recipe:
new water pump
new radiator
13 psi radiator cap, new
new clutch...
2JZ splits the 3 ports into 2 different "groups", with a large space between.
7M has all 6 runners equally distant from one another. Other then that, very similar.
One could spend time and change the design on the 2J to 7M more easily then making a new header from scratch.
Just modify the injectors.
If you buy 550s from 935 they come ready to drop in. Also you can get the injector resistor pack with a harness and instructions on how to re-wire.
The injectors will drop in and and the wiring takes a couple of hours.
Pretty sweet TBs.
Have you test fitted it yet? It seems to stick pretty far out to the side. It would be a shame to make the adapter then have it hit the strut tower.
1J Auto is not a problem, you just have to get your wiring setup right.
It will bolt on easily as long as you get a Supra Auto clip. The bonus is that they are usually cheaper.
You can make a custom intake manifold, with a supercharger as part of the assembly. The problem there is that the alternator is in the way.
There are many ways to do it, it is a matter of what you can afford.
If someone handed me a gold card and said "make me supercharged", I'd have them...
I believe that the only header that bolts on perfectly is one modified by us.
The reason being that we actually fit it to a car to make sure that it fits how you want it to.
I take as much pride in doing an NA header, NA exhaust, as a 3" downpipe for a big single turbo kit. It is all fun...
