Why do you "think" that?
I mean seriously 300cc isn't going to do squat, half a pound of extra boost would do far more, if you ran a quick spool valve on your current set up it would crap all over the "stroker"...
Don't care who someone is rich or not if $260 is a lot of money they shouldn't be modding a Mk3, one of the biggest money pits in the automotive world ;)
Helicoil done correctly will be stronger than the original threads, make sure you get a long enough coil, they come in different lengths i.e. 1d, 1.5d, 2d, "d" being the diameter of the bolt, I'd also buy new bolts long enough to fully engage with washers.
A bud picked up a Mint SC400 for $1500 AUD the other night so I towed it back to his place while I was in Melbourne with the trailer (it had a broken diff)
His car seems to have a target on it and to fix the body was going to be a minimum $5000 so we'll build 2 cars one with ALL the good/nice...
Would be interesting to get one on a flow bench and see.
Yes, the system can only flow as much as the point of greatest restriction and that GumbyPipe is it :)
Yep from memory it's really squashed....
With his 57trim I highly doubt you'd outflow the Airbox inlet, the cone filters don't flow nearly as much as everyone thinks and most are exposed to enging bay heat..
???
Stock AirBox ISN'T as restrictive as you'd think...
That elbow however is a power killer bar none.
(never ran one here but saw it on a buds mint 87 and almost fell over laughing WTF were they thinking)
