Looks like a good trip Sean! Reminds me of some of my winter trips to the Upper Peninsula.
As far as winter clothing I've found that "Smart Wool" is the best that I've ever used. It's Merino Wool that I layer-tee shirt, long sleeve tee and zippered long sleeve tee, that with a fleece or wind...
Thanks for the props Kenny, always looking out for you.
Have you considered upgrading your clutch? Maybe to an OS Giken? With your new plans and goals in mind it sounds like you might need too. One year at around 300rwhp doesn't sound to good if you're making 500.
Any input on the Ferrea...
^Ditto again. I have a good working relationship with 2 parts guys- Rob and Jim at Bill Kidds here in Baltimore. I even get a discount on 7M parts. They have seen the car and know what I'm up to and want to help. I've ordered some off the wall parts and they always have come up with them...
This is the first I've heard of grinding notches in the block for the Pauter rods. Guess I'd better check to see if it was done. New about the oil pump drive shaft having to be turned down for clearance at high RPM...what a nightmare!
I'll ask my son Christian if he could come up with a nice tattoo for you. He's a very accomplished tattoo artist. He also has a good friend and excellent tattoo artist in NC, Christian has guest spotted at his shop, I'll find out where the shop is located.
Bottom line though is you survived...
Very well said Crisp, my prayers are for those people and your friends.
Also very glad to see you posting. I remembered you saying you were going to be in Japan in March. Said to my wife this morning when we heard the news that I thought you were there and that I hoped you were safe.

It's not crazy if you want it done right.

I agree, for me hind sight is 20/20. BTW, great to see you back and posting. Glad to hear things are going better. I liked your Thank You SM thread, should have...
I like it but agree that the swoop at the ends looks a little off. Price is cheap, I paid over $400 for my Regulus rear. Guess we could see if Marcus could duplicate the Regulus if you like the look:
Obviously it hasn't been painted but it fits really well. The center piece should work well...
It's the old style HKS with the gold lettering, here is a pic from my old build:
As far as price, make an offer. I actually wanted to sell the IC, piping and BOV as a complete kit if someone needed one.

Close but no cigar YET! Just have to shovel a few more $$$$$ into the old girl. Had a bad winter here work wise, plenty of work, just couldn't do it with the cold and snow. Typically the Supra fund ended up being the living fund. Back full bore now so it shouldn't be too long.
Sounds like you might have to ride this one out, I believe you're already past your Pay Pal dispute time limit and he has the new engine cover. Personally for $400 I believe I would have gone with Dr. Tweak. He has been around here and on Club Lexus for some time and has produced some good work...
I'll see if I can get you a shipping cost tomorrow Mark. As far as price, just make an offer. I have a ton of parts off of my old build including the intercooler, piping and HKS BOV. I have spread a few pieces across the country to members here. Never posted a for sale thread because I thought...
Believe me, SLOW IT DOWN, save your money or do what ever you need to do. This is from over a years worth of HIND SIGHT, ship it to Rich and let him do the work. Also send him the crank, the rods, the fly wheel & the ATI Super Damper, have him lighten & polish the crank & maybe knife edge it...
Hey Mark, I have the original one from my car. It's has been ceramic coated-black for high temp. It's in fine shape, just sitting on the shelf. I have know idea what it would be worth so make an offer if you like. I can check on the shipping cost, the box shouldn't be too big but I don't know...
Of course you would and depending on the condition of his clutch in his R154, probably a new clutch or a new clutch-flywheel combo=OS Giken. Then I'd add new motor mounts---if you want to add to the list on doing a good solid swap be my guest.
I've bought a number of parts from Aaron, both...
I was just in JE today, they have 2 1JZ engines on pallets in the shop. I looked at one clip w/ an auto, the turbos were not mounted and I didn't ask about them. All you would need is a bell housing for the R154. They are in Baltimore-Rosedale off of Rt. 40-Pulaski Hwy. Phone# 410-686-5111
