For me ATI is the only solution for our old 'tired' stock damper. Check their web site: ATIRACING.COM or call: 877-298-5040. I have one on my current build and just bought one for the Lexus SC 300 last summer. They were and might still be running a sale on the dampers.
Have to say thanks again...
I posted that just to gauge interest. I can talk to JE more to see what time of year would be best for the shop. I do not want to conflict with the May meet in any way, and since I'm in the same boat as others with my car, I-We have to have them running to have any kind of a turn out.
That was an awkward sentence I posted. The valves were fine, the issue was with the valve stem seals and the inner springs. I also think there was an issue with the inner spring binding on the outer, I know JE sent the inner springs back for another set. I talked to Ian about this well over a...
Well along with the 272's sitting on the shelf I also have a set of Ferrea dual springs. The problem is I don't know if they will work. I was going to use them, I did use the +1 valves, but the machine shop had problems with them being too tight. Did try other valve stem seals and Rich at SIP...
Anyone interested in traveling up to Baltimore? I know I could schedule a dyno day at JE Import Performance. Actually have been talking to James about having a "mini meet" day at the shop.
A 2J! Really? Thought you were a 7M die hard! After the chatter about valve springs & retainers I thought you might actually be dropping in the 272's that I offered you. Do want to thank you for that thread, at least I got the info from Ian about shimless buckets. Now it's just a matter of drop...
Great car, great build! Really sets the bench mark for anyone loyal to the 7M. One question: are the rear wheels really 18x18? From the specs listed in the article.
Damn! Here I go again. Ian I hope you can chime in here. I know I asked about this awhile ago in my build thread but I didn't press the issue with JE.
I'm using billet cams from Rich @ SIP. 9.2 MM lift, 268 duration @ 0.00 lift & 234 duration @ .050 lift--specs Rich gave me.
Before I 1st start...
Guess that's why the weather for the last "Winter" olympics was so dismal. Was 48* here today, melting some of the snow & ice. More snow coming by the weekend.
Could you try a heat gun--type used for removing paint-and a painters flat scraper? Might be able to get the bulk off with that then use M1 remover to take the residue down to bare metal.
Light it is! CF hood, trunk, front fenders. Good roll cage. I have to get some pics of James 350Z w/ the LS2. Was sitting outside in the snow when I took these, but it is one bad ass running & looking Z car.
Sitting around here in the snow half way bored this afternoon so I thought I'd post a few pics of one of the DRIFT cars at JE Import Performance, the shop has been the adopted home of my Supra for over a year now.
Along with the LS1 swaps they have been doing a number of LS2 swaps into the...
Hey Kenny, was talking to John @ JE today about brakes. He was touting Revolution about their brake kits. He has a set of fronts and rears on his RX7 drift car.
Hey Duane, just wondering where have you been? There have been shit posts going on lately, thought you'd be around to monitor! Trust everything is going well for you.

Can't remember the belt size. It would be different when using the ATI damper instead of the OEM damper for the same set up.
Supra Sport sells the the cast alum. for $85, Wes Beech sells the billet alum. for $90.
