yes i did plastiguage everything according to all data and it was all good. I caqnt remember the numbers nor do i know where the sheet is that i had written evrything down on, but i did do it.

Ok so I rebuilt my motor backto stock. All within spec of Alldata. Honed cylinders so there is no taper top to bottom, resized connecting rods to spec, put all new bearings and evrythin.
The P.O had put n/a injectors in and melted a hole in a piston, but the crank journals were all good and...
Ya but aren't you supposed to use thicker oil for the break in? That's y I am using 40 weight now, I'll be going to Ams Oil fully synthetic after about 500 miles or so...

I know the head makes the sorta tickin noise, and the noise I noticed coulda just been me sketching out... Lol
I do have a couple exhaust leaks byt the turbo and DP. So I guess it could be that to.

Idk I was just listen to rod knocks on YouTube and mine doesn't sound exactly like that and it's not as loud as any of them. I'll check it out again 2morrow, listen and try to figure it out.
There hasn't been coolant in the oil. So it's prolly not that... Hopefully...

i just took it out. Plugged the vacuum line that goes to the top of the throttled body up. I just left the hose that ran to the cannister alone, ddnt block it or anything. Idk if thats right or wrong but it hasnt affected the car in any way i can see.
yes it is lol i put some of the lucas tranny fix in and it seems to be working fine for now. I know, i know, im gunna put the right stuff in as soon as i can.. lol
And what do you mean it shifts on road speed? so like shifts at a certain MPH? I dnt have my speedo hooked up right now, that...
so as is says my tranny isnt shifting like it should. When i floor it, it takes a sec to DS. I checked the cable, and its all in spec (the crimp on cable comes out of orange boot about 1 mm). Idk if thats just how it is with these trannys or not, but it doesnt have the instant DS like i think it...
I belive the only differences between turbo and non turbo a340e's are that the turbo one has a few more clutches to hold a little more abuse.
That's what I found out when I was in a position like yours.
But I could be wrong
