grinding, popping, clacking, binding... I already made a thread, and people are saying it's my diff. but my diff seems to be fine. the fluid looked a lil old, but no particles or anything in it... also seemed to work just fine when I've tested it.
Does anyone know of anything in the...
I don't think people really care what that part is made out of... (I sure don't... FRP would be perfect for me) there is simply a demand for replacement panels since those rust through...
were you talking about the wrapped one?
I was gonna get this ARC knob back in the day... never got around to it (woulda been stolen with my '87 anyhow.. another $100 down the drain)
i raced one with headers/CAI in my tank of a 89 targa... put 2 car lengths on him... enough for the twin turbo 350z and blown ls1 to slip through and leave us in the dust
(40 roll)
only mod on my car was DDP (8psi)
Optimum level of cool is 190 degrees Fahrenheit as specified by manufacturer. Removing the thermostat is not a good idea, as it regulates your operating temperature (and is supposed to keep it where it needs to be) so, If you have to remove it just to keep your coolant temp gauge in the...
so I just call the 1800 number and they're not gonna tear me a new asshole? shit how am I supposed to know?
I guess I could've called and then said "oh, sorry I can't pay that"... Whatever, I thought there was actually a specific person you guys call, not some sketchy toll-free number.
And...
funny thing is I want to spray my 89 in gunmetal here shortly... although I was going to do my stolen hardtop in harley davidson black
super red did look great on my 89 though... I even like the burgundy one I have now... shoot the mk3 looks good in about any color TBH
my 89 did this when I switched to a 1-piece driveshaft... I assumed it was normal.... slack in u-joint? I could be wrong... my engine had sheered completely off the mounts and was sitting a bit sideways, so I think my diff could easily have sustained damage from that...
from what I'm...
haha, i just realized where you are... I just picked up a burgundy 89 from right by hagerstown (from an old friend, toyota tech)
good stuff though... looks like your torque down low is pretty good....
looks like you have a hardtop... those things SCOOT:naughty: the one I picked up is a...
sorry to have to correct you guys, but the mk3 was the beginning. In japan the mk2 was just a celica XX... no Idea what the Mk1 was, but in the US we've had 4 generations of supras....
hm... I'd prefer a rubber/leather knob... shoot OE one is perfectly fine by me, but my car came with a metal TRD knob... it's just annoying when it's cold as shit outside, you know... solid metal tends to be pretty cold.... yeah
that's funny, that's what my 89 did w/ no boost controller (hit boost cut w/ stock wastegate, no modification) again... I will note I believe '88 parts were used to build my car (the vin said it was assembled the first month in 89, and a ma70 chassis was used (not ma71)) the wastegate design...
Uhm... isn't the b-pillar an exterior part? that's what I was wanting is the trim right behind the window...
I'm with ya on that one
and yes, I need some mud flaps... although I wouldn't want these in carbon fiber.. would look pretty idiotic IMO... maybe just a fiberglass pannel that...
Yeah I saw a pretty dang nice stock non-turbo '91 for sale (on here). I almost bought it, but I picked up a re-built '89 turbo from a personal friend.
Just be patient and keep looking.
Yeah, I tried that route (working on things with friends) turns out I woulda been 100% better off just being an absolute loner. Not because my friends don't know what they're doing... I was supposed to be running a shop w/ my best friend in '08. That went to hell real fast, along w/ my car...
