What do you guys do to switch the head light wires over?
Is there a special way to pull out the wires? Or should I cut and solder it? I'm a little weary of cutting the harness wires...
Ok thx! I will deff do that 2morrow!
And now that makes sense about the ABS plug that doesn't plug in cause my ABS light is on.
Any way to fix that?
Thx!!

And what's a supermonitor? I thight that was...
So I just got done swapping my pre 89 harness/ecu into my 89 supra. Everythin works great. But there are a couple things I need to ask.
1. There is a plug by the ecu that goes to the body harness and the engine harness that doest plug together. I was wonderin if you knew anything about that...
I was just gunna say extend the boom... It helps alot! I have a 2 ton and mine is in the middle at 1 ton. I know the motor/trans isn't more than 2000 lbs... Lol it extends about 2 more frets on mine and that makes it easy enough to reach over and get it in without hitting the front bumper.
Read up on what people have done to their 7m in the build up gallery/dyno threads and get some ideas. That what I did.
I just got done building my motor, and am starting to readup on all that stuff myself! :)
I'm sure there will be people that chime in though.
Good luck!
Ok thanks guys. I'll check out how much a sensor is.
I was gunna put the wideband Down lower I just wanted to ask.
Where my bung is down there, the WB sensor sits in the tranny window thing on the side(dnt have the covers). I think I'm gunna have to wait to get one treeless in a better place...
Cool! I ddnt even thunk of anythin like that! Lol
Where would you look for one of those? Is it car specific? Like I think my civic o2 sensor is a 3 wire and its a screw in...
Thanks! And does it have to be right after the turbo? Or could it be down by the tranny?
And Where is the best place...
Ok so I have a 3 in v-band DP with 2 welded o2 bungs... They are both screw in types though, and the stock o2 has those 2 bolt holes... Right now I just have the o2 in the bung with a wire through the bolt holes and wrapped around the DP... Lol
That's all I can do right now! I obviously have...
Ya deff have to go back n forth jacking the trans up and then lowering the motor little by little... I put the car really high on jack stands in the back n a little lower in the front so it kinda angles forward... Helps with how the trans/motor hangs.
im pretty sure you cant balance it with the rotating assembly installed. idk for sure though, i was under the impression that they weigh each piston/rod and balance those, and then they balance the crank to match it.
thats just what i was told when i took mine in.
yep i just got done putting my engine together. I used copper spray. man is that stuff sticky!! lol got it on my arm and i could barely unbend my elbow! haha
and arent you supposed to put it on right after it gets tacky? i dont think theres tim to post a question up and wait for replys! lol...
Ya mine barely had 10k on it... No cracks, barely any of the viton came off from being used.
But ya I was scrubbing with some acetone, but I'll try some goof-off, see if that's any better.
Thanks!
On a different note, my block and head both have a .010 stamped on it. So would that be how...
So I'm in the process of removing the viton from my MHG. What I did was soak it in acetone and scrub itwith some scotch-brite scrubbing pad. It works but it's taking for ever, and it's pretty tiring cause I'm just scrubbing really fast back n forth in a spot till it clean.
So let me know if...
Ya I know it was quiet a lip... I'm just surprised it didn't blow/leak when it was running before! Lol and it had like 10k on it to... Lol
Oh well now it's perfect, the timing cover is barely, barely lower than the block...
