I make statements about myself, because I know my capabilities. For all you guys know though, I could be lying. And that would be the exact same as one of yall telling anyone else what they are capable of. You don't know, you have no clue. You have absolutely nothing to base any statement of...
Gonna go ahead and throw this out there. I can drive on ice. :icon_bigg It's usually pretty slow. Luckily in these parts we don't have to deal with slick spots too much. But I drive for a living, so it's my responsibility to do so no matter the conditions, and know what I'm doing.
Anyhow...
My 89 targa did drift really well, but I never lost control of it, unless I had room to do so. In any case, that's not what the car is meant for. It's fun, I know, but definitely not what it's for. :( sad to see a nice car so banged up
That's a lot of torque O_o Some people say the ddp doesn't add any power. Having owned one, I'd beg to differ. I'll be putting a 58mm borg warner t4 on mine w/ AEM EMS. Albert's turbos do look really nice. I was thinking about getting one, but he'd never respond to my questions. Oh...
The wastegate is not shimmed, it's got a crappy MBC on it. I say crappy because I took the spring and ball out of it to get it to work :aigo:. I was reading boost off of a blitz turbo timer. My tuner swore up and down that all his cars hit cut around 14psi, and I swore up and down all mine...
That's what I thought. I got the car/engine from a good friend, since he only drove the car to keep it from sitting (which it did otherwise). The engine was re-built ~7 yrs ago, and only has a little over 2k miles as of right now. So he told me what was done to it, but you never really know...
Sharing results here, since the "horsepower list" is no longer that, but more of a "horsepower competition"
My engine has OE internals.
Bored .05 over, head is ported and polished, 3" bellmouth DP to 3" out back, stock everything else.
@10.5 psi on a dynojet
Overall, I was impressed...
ah, ok. I have a tendency to paint my exhaust flat black, so it doesn't really draw much attention... in other words one would be just as good as the other...
this is true. I've "fixed" mine before, just to find out I was leaking from somewhere else. I've learned a few tricks since then to avoid such tomfoolery
and what's the difference between the "hyper medallion" and the regular "medallion" ??
I don't particularly like the operation of the stock ECU, hence I will be getting something that is 100% flexible
edit*
got some new presents for the car today
