hm... the previous owner of my car had some issues with a leak up top. he fiddled with the CPS and the cam seals, eventually he figured out that one of the galley plugs was leaking.... (after replacing valve cover gaskets and cam seals)

aha. my car currently has no PS, an oil leak, and a leaking master cyl. just bought a hardtop chassis though (driving 89 targa ATM)

so true^^ just got new master and slave cyl, master hose kit, and PS pump. waiting on A1 traction arms + 15 other things, lol

the one that got it was running a RPS triple plate O_o. It'd be fair to assume that the owner treated his car with disdain, and disregard (like most rich people would)

should look into getting some rx7 wheels (14 lbs) almost half the weight of the ones you've got ATM props though!! that's a pretty quick N/A :cool: not sure if you've tried this too, but the stock intake can (resonator) should actually give you a bit more power...

yeah, but if you had any sense about it you'd tear down the 1j and at least check it out, replace seals = more waiting indeed. :icon_bigg

It's happened to me before. Could be your top was just being particular? One of my 89's was like that. Didn't leak but every once in a blue moon you'd get a stray drop of water.

i'm with this guy^^ sounds like you've got a solid car not worth selling... I've been offered 12k for one of my 89's (in 2007), granted the factory paint, trim, ect was spotless, and so was the interior. But it wasn't worth selling to me. the only mods that car had was 20k mile jdm engine...

It's my understanding that you don't want to use a breather.... (thinking about crank-case vacuum) stock pcv didn't have a breather on it.

lots of people use stock bosch units (think saab or porsche)

no thanks. not wide enough, too heavy, AND worst of all (for my taste) the spokes are rounded.
