That stud can strip also, so be careful. You might be turning and turning and getting to no results.

It's alot of work, but you can convert a 7mgte harness into a 1jz harness. You will need all of the wiring diagrams, and some of the connectors from a 1j harness to complete it. Most 7m harnesses are too old and brittle to be worth keeping anyway. But if you have a nice one it can be done.

With the core charge, that is actually not a bad price. Just be aware that they will have torqued it to a low spec. Re-torque before use.

The thing is by the time you make adapters, you will have already paid for a twin turbo tubular manifold for 1jz. I had mocked up some adapters to run twin wrx turbos. But all of the time I spent on it, I should have just gotten a twin manifold.

If yours runs from a map sensor, then ANY intake manifold leak will raise the idle. Check for leaks.

This is the flange that bolts to the stock 1jz manifold. Then you can adapt a couple of small twins from there, or join them together to build a cheap single manifold adapter.
