Someone posted this in another forum, and I think I had the same issue. When using water and/or are intake input, you need to set the jumper opposite of what the manual says.
Set it up as a knock sensor reading (even though it's connected to a temperature sensor) and it will work.
You can...

Sweet, I had one on the old 5M setup, without the cover.
If you ever fine the crane HI6 to go with it (they go under $100 sometimes), pick up that too.
You might notice that the cap wears out a little faster with the extra spark.
I think your next step might be a nice airbox to get some cool...
I'm not a fan of being called names. In any case, they are 550s from what I understand. I pulled up the part number on the side, and found only information regarding 550s. I did not use them personally, so I can't offer you any proof, I'm sorry.
The car it was pulled from ran a lex AFM, and...
I have another thorley here, I will see about test fitting it on the MK3.
I had what I thought was a thorley years ago. It had 2 extensions, one for MK3/MK2. It could have possibly been a TRD header.
A nice aluminum pipe to replace all of the rubber parts will work.
You can also add a cold air extension to the AFM and put the air filter under the headlight (if it doesn't rain much in your area).
I'm advanced +2 intake, retard -3 exhaust
The top end isn't bad, I think it's a little better than many stockish dynos I've seen.
I'm also using a 2" lower piece, smaller than the MK3 one. If I don't use the header, I'll be converting the lower have to full 2.5".
Yes it would work.
However, if you put in the green injectors, you will have to remove/bypass the resistor back.
Also, you will run pretty rich, because the ECU is not expecting the larger injectors. You can use an SAFC, or tighten the AFM spring about 6 clicks to help compensate.
The next step, most likely, is to install the ACIS system and see how it feels. Even though it is a cressida engine, it is on a Supra ECU. That rich midrange could be related to the ECU expecing the ACIS system in place.
I can't say that it works fully, but the injectors are running through the emanage, and I was able adjust it to the point of blowing black smoke (and back).
The car doesn't drive yet, so I can't test further.
I finally got it installed in a local 7M setup.
I'll post the wiring, once I get all of the bugs worked out. I'm currently have these things wired in:
- Injector control
- Timing control (not working yet)
- Intake temperature reading
- Ignition timing display
As with the old...
